35.0 Hows Food At Your Boarding Place? This Is All About Tea I Had.

We had to drink milk tea with less milk powder and, it was a watery tea. The owner of the boarding place was an aunt and, she used to keep enough tea for all of us in a flask.

She kept in on the dining table and, she served tea in the mornings and evenings. On some evenings, she was kind to give a snack with tea. So, after starting advance level studies, all of us had evening classes after school. Therefore, we used to have a small thing after school and, had lunch at the boarding place after the classes. Then we had lunch in the evenings and, it was tea time.

Therefore, we had tea also after lunch. One day our aunty said 'You all don't need evening tea when you have evening classes as you had lunch in the evening right?. But we did not agree with her and, we said that it's not a problem to have a tea even just after lunch. We knew that it did not give an additional supplement due to the quality of the tea and other meals. However, she thought about us as a greedy gang.

One day she called her daughter and, said that 'these gals are having tea just after lunch. They can have heavy meals anytime'. She said the same thing to one of my boarding mate's mother also and, she embarrassed a lot.

So, that aunty talked to my friend and, asked not to have tea just after lunch. But my friend did not agree with her and, she said that it's required for all of us. However, we did not care about those talks even though, it embarrassed others. We had our tea as usual. Aunty did not keep tea in the flask for a couple of hours and, she cleaned it as soon as tea time was over. So, sometimes we missed it once we had to spend more time in the evening tuition classes.

Though it was not a good quality tea to enjoy, we expected it in the mornings and evenings. So, one day, one of my boarding mates asked her evening tea from aunty in such a situation. At that time, she said that she could not make tea time to time for each of us separately as per the schedules we had and, she asked her to work according to the rules of the boarding. After that, my friend did not make the same request again. However, she prepared tea for me in such a situation as I did not eat meat or eggs. In those days, that green color flask was one of our little hope and, all of us expected to see it in every morning and evening. Hah hah haa...

Time went tightly at the boarding place with exam pressure. However, the boarding gang was close friends like sisters and, they were a crazy gang. One day we got to know about a series of stars which can be seen in the very early morning and it was a rare scene. So, we decided to watch and, we informed aunty on the previous night.

She also interested and, on the following day all of us went out with her. It was around four or clocks in the morning and, we went to the main road to watch it clearly. There was a restaurant and, one of the boarding mates liked its young manager. So, she visualized a romantic moment also with him and, she wished he could be there to watch the stars. Lol... So, we talked such nonsense and, observed the sky for a couple of minutes to find out that group of stars. We were lucky to see that rare moment. We thought that our effort was not waste by looking at the amazing stars in the clear sky. Anyway, I do not remember the specialty of those stars. On that day, aunty made tea for all of us once we returned to the boarding place.

As well as she gave usual morning tea before going to school. So, we glad about the additional bonus tea we had in the early morning. Therefore, one day-night we lied to her and, we said that we could see another amazing star series in the sky if we could go out in the morning. So, we got up early in the morning and, went out to watch the stars with aunty. But she did not suspend us though, all of us could see the ordinary stars which can be seen in the early mornings. However, it was not a problem because one day had succeeded out of two days. As we expected, she served tea for all of us once we returned to the boarding place back. It was a pleasure for all of us as we could win our plan.

However, I did not admit it today as an adult though we did it for our fun. I don't know why all of us did not think about it as the wrong thing. At that time our thoughts were different and, we tried to have fun out of every little thing. So, at that time also we discussed that aunty could donate something because of us. That was the idea of our hooligan sisters. According to our mindsets those days, we thought that we helped her to gain merits. Though I did not breach the rules of school and parents, I contributed to some kind of such silly things with the companion of my friends.

After a very long time, I met aunty in Colombo. She was weak and grew old. Though I stopped and talked to her, she could not remember me. Annually there was a different gang of school girls in her boarding place. Or else she did not care about the crazy things we did. Sometimes our behavior was normal for her.

So, once I asked for some more details from her, she said that she went to the hospital to check the blood. I felt sad about her and, I asked her not to go out without somebody. Then she looked at the sky and, said that the gods protect her. She had a decent family background and, those days all of her children were in some other countries. None of them stayed in Sri Lanka. She also planned to go abroad and live with her youngest son.

It was her dream, and she was waiting for her son's message. But I realized that nothing had happened, by looking at her eyes. Once I asked her not to go out without somebody, her eyes filled with tears. After that, the whole day was a gloomy day for me and, my mind filled with her memories and sorrow. Meantime, I remembered the incidents and memories we had in the boarding place, and I worried about aunty. Today society is not kind enough to take care of their parents. If they could not bring them to their countries, at least they could look after them with the support of adult helpers.

As soon as I came back home, I had a habit of drinking milk tea. Therefore, I bothered my mother to get a cup of tea as soon as possible.

Sometimes she got angry with me when she was working on something else which eager than my need. One day she asked me to tell her before getting down from the bus and, she said that then I could have it as soon as I came home. Though she asked me to make tea for myself, I always loved to drink a cup of tea prepared by my mother.

However, in Sri Lanka, milk tea is not a good beverage because of certain low-quality milk powder. Milk powder is the cause of most of the diseases in our society. However, I think it's our responsibility to aware of these things and, change our food habits.

34.0 Are GHOSTS Real?? What Do You Think?

Though the death of somebody brings worries to our hearts and, the word 'GHOST gives a scary feeling, there are some memories which could bring a smile.

Therefore, I thought to share those with you all and, I hope you also enjoyed those incidents. However, when there was our crew, either my cousins or besties, it was a kind of other craziness though it brought some disciplinary issues.

The very first memory was the funeral house of my school friend's father. He was not well for a long time and, he suffered a lot till death. So, for that funeral, all of our classmates went there after school. Some of her closest school friends went there early without coming to school also. So, when we were going there, there were a few kids who were playing in the yard. We also seated in the yard and, after a few minutes we were idling and, it was a boring time for all of us. So, we asked one kid to come and, asked a few questions. Likewise, we spoke to some other kids and, did the same.

Among them, there was a small boy, and he did not respond to our questions. He tried to leave us. So, one of my friends kept on asking him to come. But he ignored us and went inside the home. After a couple of minutes, we saw that he was coming with a stick. Though he gave a devil look, we did not care as he was a small one.

When he was coming to us by hanging that stick, we could realize that he came to hit us. As we thought he hit us like a crazy devil by asking us to leave. Lol... As we kept on asking some questions, he also did the same by kept on asking us to leave. He did not forget to punish us until we leave the funeral house. I could remember that some of my friends went to meet our friend also as there was no way to get rid of him. Finally, that 4 to 5 years old kid scared 14 years old girls’ gang. Lol…

The other incident happened in the funeral house of an uncle who was a family friend. He passed away in his mid-era of his life. He had four children. So, once I went there with my parents, his wife and daughter were weeping.

Though others tried to console them, it was not an easy thing. They were fed up with crying and, I think they were unconscious about the things they told at that time because of their loss. I could not hide my tears when looking at that aunt and sister. I worried about them than the death of that uncle.

So, when they were murmuring, suddenly, that aunt said 'Ohh... My smart and handsome husband left me. At that time, I could not stop my laugh as I could not stop my tears. However, I controlled it very hard as my mother was there. Otherwise, she would blame me. Actually, it was not a reason to laugh. But always it made me laugh when it comes to my mind. Still, it was a silly quote for me. At that time my mother was so serious and, I could not see a single clue for a smile on her face. But once we came home, she said the same and it made her laugh too. That was the most interesting thing. Lol... I know it's not good to laugh at such a situation. It may be because of my bad qualities or something else.

This incident happened during my higher studies era. I was coming home after the lectures. On that day there was a funeral of our neighbor. It was around 8 or clock and, my father could not come to the bus halt to pick me as he was busy with funeral chores.

On that day he gave a dinner for the funeral home. So, a bunch of people worked in our yard for its preparations. Therefore, I had to come alone, and there were a few meters from the bus halt to our house. So, I'm coming towards the home. Suddenly, oh my god, that dead man was coming towards me. That's what I saw. I could not imagine what's happening and, I could not think about my next action. I wanted to run, hide somewhere and, SCREAM... But I didn't do anything. I stood on the road like a stone that cannot be moved. But he is coming and, now there was a short distance between both of us.

Suddenly he smiled and said that 'I came to my brother's funeral. His smile was different than the dead one. He was intelligent to tell it at that moment. Otherwise, I would be sick and till then I thought that he was a ghost. Lol... So, as soon as I went home, I asked about his siblings from my mother. Then she said that he was a twin. At that time, I' met his other twin who could kill me.

The other ghost-related incident happened when I was coming to my uncles' place from my former office.  The time was around 7 p.m., and I had to walk a few meters after getting down from the bus. It was a private road, and there was no crowd except for a few people who were living in that housing scheme. So, on that day nobody on that road and, I walked as usual. Suddenly, I heard the noise of a girl and, it was like a murmuring.

As I could not see anyone, I did not search for that voice and, walked. Again, I heard a soft voice saying 'Hello miss. Then I looked back and noticed a young lady with a small baby. There was a very short distance between us and, at that time, I could not realize that how did she come closer to me without my attention. She had a weird look though she kept a smile on her face. I was afraid like nothing and, a lady ghost called 'Mohini' came to my mind suddenly. As per the myths, she is following men not women. But it did not come to my mind and, I wanted to run. However, as usual, I could not move my legs for a few seconds. She was also staying in the same position without moving. So, we were looking at us for a few seconds, and I came very quickly.

At that time, my cousin's sister was also there and, I told that incident. She wanted to go back and, find her. But I did not come with her. Later on, she saw a young woman with a baby in one evening. She was an innocent beggar.

However, I have a bit of scary memory in my childhood. At that time, I was about 3-4 years old kid. It was not a clear memory. Still, I could not realize whether it was an actual incident or a dream I saw. So, I'm not going to write it here. However, it was in the corner of my mind. If they exist, they are also other souls in our universe. That's my view. What do you think?

33.0 The Entire World Is Full Of Crazy Nuts & You Can Find Out Most Of Them In A Bus

One day, an uncle sat in a front seat and, he looked a few times back. Later on, he gave his phone and SIM card to me and, asked me to put that SIM into his phone. By looking at his face and behavior, I understood that he drunk a lot.

So, I politely said that I don’t know how to do that and, it made him angry. Then he murmured something and, blamed me. He said that 'Always wires are in the ears but do not know how to do this simple task. That was the only thing I could hear even though he murmured something else.

This incident also a different one and that day I was coming back after finishing a tuition class. At that time, I did not have changes. So, I gave a five hundred Rupees note to the bus conductor and, he had to return about four hundred Rupees as the balance.

At that time he did not give me the balance by asking me to remind it when getting down from the bus. I was in the last seat in that bus and, there were few people in that row. After a while, one uncle talked to the conductor and asked my balance. Then the conductor said “Sure. I will give it to her”. A little bit later, that uncle asked the balance again and, it made conductor angry. Even though I did not ask, he blamed me and, said “I’m not taking your money and get down. I will give to you. You don’t need to worry.” Then that uncle replied back and, there was a small argument among them. Once it finished, I said “uncle, please don’t ask balance from him. I will ask when I get down from the bus”. Then I acted like sleep by following up on my one safety method.

Sometimes, I got late to come home from the office and, I had to travel at the night around nine p.m. So, it was a big headache for my parents and, they asked me to stop this several times. However, for some reason, I could not obey them due to workload or meetings I had in the evenings at the office.

If I had to leave the office a bit early without attending for those, then there was another problem at the office even though it resolved my parents’ issue. So, either my parents or seniors in the workplace blamed me due to this situation. Sometimes, I came home in the very early morning around four or clock by a cab and, went back to the office again around ten a.m. once I worked for a European project. I had to resolve some issues with them in their time zone. So, my parents also used to wake up and, wait for me even though I asked them to sleep. These were the main reasons for these night or midnight journeys.

This incident happened when I was coming home around nine p.m. It was a Friday and, the buses were crowded. So, I had to take two buses. Time was around nine-thirty p.m. when  I was waiting for the next bus. There were a few men in the bus stand and, there were no ladies. At that time, most of the buses were already gone and, I could not get into any buses due to the crowd. You know that I’m not going when there is a big crowd…

So, I asked my father to come there. But I knew that it was about thirty minutes' journey though I asked him to pick me. Therefore I was so scared to wait for him with those few people. So, I went to one shop and did some window shopping. But at that time, they were closing down their shop. So, I had to tell my concern to them and, asked to stay there a little longer. Luckily, they agreed to wait for my father and, it was a big relief for me. As I knew that my father also scared and, come in a rush, I said that “No hurry. You come safely and slowly”. But it made him angrier and more stressed. Once my father came, I thanked very much to the staff of that shop and came home. Once I came home, I saw that my mother was crying by murmuring something and, my sister was blaming me like a non-stop song. Father did not speak to me and, he was very silent due to anger. Ohh shit…! Only our doggy welcomed me as usual.

One day, only a few men left on the bus with me when I was coming home on such a night journey. At that time there were about ten kilometers to our home. So, this made me scared a lot by remembering a rape incident happened inside the bus and that was happening even though that girl's boyfriend was there. He could not control those men as a film. So, this girl raped by a few men. There were similar rape cases inside the buses in our country as well. At that time, I remembered all these stories and, it increased my fear a lot. I was confused more by looking back.

The guy who had a weird look smiled at me and, it was an abnormal smile. Sometimes, I saw his smile suspiciously because of the fear I had at that time. Perhaps he understood that I was afraid. Finally, I reached my destination and, I rang the bell to get down from the bus. Then the driver turned back and looked at me. He also smiled weirdly and said something to the conductor. For a few seconds, I was thinking that, what should I do, if he did not stop the bus. If he did not stop, I thought to jump from the bus to live or die at that time.

This incident happened when I was going to Colombo for my higher studies. I got onto the bus at five or clocks in the morning. On that day, I had an examination as well. But my friend did not come due to a funeral at her home. We had to bring the identity card as a compulsory thing for the examination.

After I got onto the bus, I thought that I did not bring my ID and I suddenly checked it in my bag. Ohh Shit! Yes. It’s not there. So, I got down from the next town to go back home to bring it. Once I got down from the bus only, I realized the silly thing I have ever done. Even though a few people got down with me, none of them left in the bus halt and, all of them went to different places. Then I left there alone and, the darkness and, a silent made me scared. I waited for a few minutes, but there were no buses to go back home.

So, I wanted to run and hide somewhere. It was that much scary moment for me. At that time, I did not have a mobile phone, and I could not tell my father to come. I felt helpless and meantime, I heard some rubbish words of a few people. I heard them only and, I could not see them in the darkness. It increased my fear a lot and, I thought about my next actions if they come to me. When I was thinking about these things, a van stopped and, there were about ten young men in that van. Then the driver said “Hey sister, where are you going? We can drop you”. Then I said that I was waiting for my father. I thought that they were some drunk men by looking at their faces and the way they talked. So, I could not wait for another time and, I wanted to get into any bus to go to Colombo or home.

It was my fault and, I blamed myself. There were no buses in any root and, I waited for another few minutes in that horrible environment. Shortly, several people came to that bus halt and, then only I was conscious with normal conditions. But I could not forget the series of incidents that happened within a few minutes.

Later on, I blamed myself for the drama I played, once I saw my identity card in the bag. It was there in the same pocket, which I used to keep it. I don’t know what happened actually and why I could not see it early? However, I could not concentrate on the exam as my mind was a mess. Marks were very low for that subject. I did not tell this to my parents or sister except my friends. They also blamed me for the foolish thing I had done. I also accepted my mistake and, I promised myself not to do the same fault again under any emergency situation. Actually, if I could think twice and arrange my exam stuff on the last night well, I would not face this incident.

This incident also happened in the early morning and, at that time also I was going to Colombo for my higher studies, I think. So, I got into an intercity bus, I could not see any people except the driver and conductor. Suddenly I said “Nobody there inside the bus” and, it happened unintentionally

It made conductor laugh and, he said ‘No, there are two in the last seat.’ Then I could see a boy. But I could not see anyone elseHowever, I went inside the bus and saw a girl with himThey did not behave well, as there was no anyone. After a few minutes, a few people got onto the bus. The conductor looked at me and, said 'See. People are coming. It was fun for him and, he repeated it over and over once people got onto the bus. He laughed by looking at me and, then others looked at me by keeping a big question mark in their eyes. Once I told this to my friends, it was a good topic for them for a couple of days.

There is another story which same as this one. I was sitting on that day. After a few miles, a school crowd got on to the bus. So, some of them gave their books and bags me to keep. After a few minutes, one girl thanked and took back her bag from me.

Then the person who sat beside me got down and, one schoolboy sat in that seat. At that time, he did not have any books or a bag. I think, he went about five to six kilometers without keeping any stuff. For all the time those school crowd talked loudly and laughed like nothing. I was carrying those goods and thinking about the old good school days I had. After a few miles that boy got up and said 'Hey, sister, can you give my books back?. I was wondered and ashamed. Others laughed a lot.

These are some main memories that came to mind. Even though some incidents made me laugh now also, I think, I could avoid some silly situations if I could think twice.

32.0 There Should Be A Preparation For Death As Well. Are You Ready?

Though all of us have to face our death, I do not think anyone wants to talk about it. Although we know about death, we are not ready to even hear it. It is a restricted word to our ears. However, there are a few things to say about this topic.

The first death that came to mind is the funeral of our family member. She was my father's elder brother's wife. So, it was a terrible situation for the entire family and, they worried for a long time. At that time her daughter was a ten-month-old kid. So, it was a pathetic situation for our family. By then I was six years old. I did not have much awareness of her death. Therefore, as I remembered, I did not worry about her death or her daughter.

However, I could remember how my father's elder brother was weeping by touching her dead body. Though I could not remember my feelings at that time, I saw the way that I was looking at him via a photo album which was kept with my father's younger brother. I had a sad look on my face and, I was looking at my father's elder brother.

As the next memory, I could remember the death of my father's granny. At that time, she was very old. However, it was not a painful situation like that funeral. My father's younger brother has a photo album for her funeral too. But, most of them did not have worrying faces. I think it was an acceptable death for society because of her age. These two funerals were the key things I faced during my childhood.

Apart from these two incidents, I had to hear the death of my friends during my school time. When I was hearing one sad loss, I was in another school because of my father's job transfer. We were in another province as well. Therefore, I could not go to her funeral, and I got to know about her death from one of my friends. I could not imagine what happened and believe in her death. She had a heart attack in her teenage and, there was no clue even.

I could attend the funeral of my other friend. She is one of the most beautiful girls in our school, and many boys followed for her love. She lost her life because of an accident. It happened when she was trying to light the unsafe hearth. Actually, it was not an easy thing to stay there without crying when looking at her parents and sisters. They were weeping like nothing. You would be crying if you went to that funeral, though you were not her friend. That was the situation they had, and they could not bear up her loss. On that day, I saw how difficult for parents to bear up the loss of their children.

That funeral was the death of my friend's younger brother. It also happened during our school days. It was an accident, and it happened when my friend was reversing his vehicle. At that time, he did not see his brother. That death brought an unbearable situation to his parents. As it was the death of an innocent kid, the entire village worried for a couple of months.

When I was working, there was a death of a few of my friends and known colleagues. Some of them died at a young age because of certain diseases they suffered from stress. One person was not my friend and he taught us when we were doing our higher studies. After the higher studies, I moved to the same office he worked in. He was a nice person and, he taught 'Java' computer language nicely. He could do that job without giving the pressure. However, he died because of the work pressure he had and at that time he was a newly married guy as well.

The other death happened very recently and it happened at his home. It was an accident. He was also a nice guy to our office mates. Still, I can remember his funny behaviors in an office workshop. There was a game and based on the actions they played others should tell their designation. So, when it came to my turn I said 'A bus driver. However, it was not and later on, I had to provide reasons for that observation. I went to his funeral and, I cannot forget his wife’s eyes which expressed a lot of things than her tears. It consists of unbearable sad for the loss of her loved one. Those days I remembered it from time to time and it was a pain. Still, he has his Facebook account and, sometimes his wife shares some posts by tagging him. Those times, I prayed for her to console her soul.

In addition to the deaths of known ones, pathetic incidents happened in the wartime of our country. It was thirty years war and finally ended in 2009. At that time there was a death of many including civil citizens, army and enemies. Among them, there was a boyfriend of one of my friends as well. It was an unbearable situation for her and, we did not have a way to console her even. It was a terrible situation. The Tsunami was another unfortunate incident we faced as Sri Lankans. It vanished a lot of lives and that kind of tragedy never happened to our country. It was the very first time. Therefore, nobody aware of the Tsunami though they lived with the sea.

Recently also we faced a loss of many because of a suicide bomber attack. It happened this Easter Sunday by aiming at several churches and hotels. When I was getting that news from one of my friends, I thought that she was lying. It was an unbelievable situation as per the environment of our country at that time. It took a few seconds to lose their lives and hopes of others. In some families, only one child remained by losing parents and other siblings. One lady lost her husband and two daughters, and there were many similar cases. May triple gems bless them!

According to my religion, Buddhism, reminding death is merit thought. It reminds us that we are not living forever. As well as I hope it is a good practice to do as that practice avoids the shock that comes to our minds when hearing the word 'Death. In any case, if we have to face death, it will console us up to some extent via that awareness. If you can listen for the sermon of 'Thiththagalle Anandasiri Thero, you can understand how important it is to our lives. Else definitely it would be a shock for a mind that does not have that practice.

A few years back, when I was suffering from wheeze, I think I faced a situation which is similar to the final death moment (Up to some extent. Sometimes, it would be a totally different experience). On that day, I thought that it was my last moment as I could not breathe at all. I could count how many times I inhaled and exhaled separately. It was a horrible situation. Once I inhaled, I could not exhale at once and I exhaled the breath into three portions. I thought that death would be more comfortable.

My parents could not bear up my situation and they were pissed off. Before they take me to a doctor, they were crying like two kids. It made me cry. Then I could not breathe than earlier when I was crying. But I could not stop it. I cried like an idiot. Within a few seconds, I remembered some incidents which happened from my childhood to that moment. It was like a movie.  Later on, I thought that the final moment would be similar to that experience according to the things I knew about the last moment. However, my next ego would not be a good one if it was the last moment of my life as I was crying like a buffalo.

As we do not know about our last moment, we should keep our minds with good thoughts always. I know it’s not an easy job. However, I believe it can be done via the regular practice. If you can concentrate on your own thoughts, then that is it. You are a lucky human to keep your mind with merit thoughts by omitting sins.

Actually, what will happen to my blog if I die suddenly??? (There won't be any more posts. Lol...) Can I take any actions before my death? I think it is a good thing to think about now. What do you think about my buddies?

31.0 Laugh & Laugh... But Behave Well Buddies

Do you think that getting down from a bus is an easy thing to do? It was not at all when I was going to school by bus. I went to a mixed school. So, the bus which we used to come back home was full of those crazy devils.

The bus conductor became evil by looking at the behaviors of those idiots. If he had high blood pressure, he would die because of the effort he put to control them. Always he screamed like an evil. But our guys did not care about him though he blamed and screamed us a lot. As well as his situation was fun for some of them.

After a few years, I saw that the conductor was working on the same bus root. But at that time, he was very matured and looked calm. He had patience with others and, he did not scream as earlier. He looked old and weak. I felt sad about him and, it reminded me of the nature of changing everything.

He could not recognize me. But I smiled with him. On that day one drunk man got onto the bus and, that conductor asked him to get down. But that drunk man did not obey him. That conductor also did not request again and again and let him sit. As well as he did not get angry with him as early. Then he asked to buy a ticket and, that drunk man gave a toffee instead of money. I thought there would be a fight according to previous situations I saw with this conductor. But it made him laugh and, he did not follow up with him. I was surprised by looking at his change.

So, when moving back to my story, some of our idiots used to ring the bus bell a few times after I rang it once to get down from the bus halt️. Then the driver did not stop the bus as he thought that schoolboys were joking with him. So, I always had to walk a few miles when those crazy guys were on the bus.

The other thing happened on our school bus and, on that day, I got into that bus to come back home. Those days, there was a couple in our school and, their love affair was famous among everyone. So, these two also used to go by this bus and, on that day, they stood in the mid of the school guys.

Everyone tried to look at them secretly without knowing them. So, I also gave my attention to them and time to time I watched their behavior. Suddenly, the bus stopped and, everyone dragged toward the driving seat. At that time, that boy gave a kiss to her cheek by hugging her. I looked another way, once I saw the incident and acted something else. On the next day, this incident was the main topic among many and, it was fun for them. Sometimes, this is not a big issue for you according to the culture that you have adopted. But as you know our Asian culture has many restrictions for school love affairs. As well as our culture does not accept kissing and hugging in public places. Therefore, this was an interesting story for many gossip lovers. After a couple of years, I used to go to Colombo for my higher studies by office transport. At that time, I met this girl and, she also used this van as her office transport. So, I often remembered this incident.

Later on, traveling by bus was enjoyable for us when I moved to another school for my Advance Level. It was about the one-hour journey as there were about twenty-five kilometers from home to school. So, I got this opportunity at weekends and some weekdays when I had evening classes. Most of the time, I had to go by school van on weekdays. So, it was fun to go by bus with the union of friends and we had good freedom to share our funny stories and laugh.

Those days, we did not care about other’s thoughts and, we laughed a lot. If there was a school teacher on the bus, then only we stopped laughing we maintained school discipline. Some of them joked to us saying that we had some kind of drugs that could make us laugh. Now, I cannot imagine why did we laugh that much for small things. I think it’s because of our teenage. I remembered that we laughed for our own old memories. Or else someone on the bus was a reason for us to laugh. Sometimes you may think that we were mad. Yes. Those days we had a different mentality about everything. But no one blamed us even though they did not laugh with us. Very rarely, there were a few people who laughed with us.

So, I was the one who got down from the bus at last among our crazy gang. One day a boy who sat next to me told me to “Laugh now” once my friends got down from the bus after spreading the laughter for an hour. Even though it made me laugh again, I just smiled with him. When we were going for Advance Level exams also, this behavior did not get changed. On the very first day, I went with my father and, the rest of the days I went by bus. So, when we were laughing, the two men said that 'You all may have to cry after receiving the exam paper️.

Recently, a bunch of school guys and gals got into the bus when I was coming from Colombo to home. They also crazy as us and it remembered my school days. They laughed for small things like nothing.

They were also the same as us. They were holding each other because of the crowd and, once the driver stopped the bus, they pulled to the front and returned to the back. It made me laugh even though I did not show it to them. I thought that others would think about us as so when we were school gals. Same time I felt that their discipline was also not good. As well as I thought this discipline issue was common for most of them after comparing us with them. The others also did not tell anything about their behavior.

At that time, I thought that everyone had this type of past memories. So, I thought the people who traveled with us in our school days would have the same feelings as me today. However, it was fun to watch that crazy school crowd as it was like a drama.
