21.0 Let's Discuss Horrible Shopping Experiences

Even though I could not imagine how many times I went shopping during my lifetime, several memorable incidents are there to share with you. Out of all most of them are funny and, tired memories. Though we started the journey happily, most of the time it ended up with a severe headache

It was that much-tired journey in the end as we spent many hours for shopping. At the start, we thought not to spend more time in one shop if they did not have our wish list. But it never worked. Therefore, once we returned home, we could not speak loudly and, we did not want to move a little bit.

Though it seemed nice at the time we bought, there were certain items that looked ugly once we rechecked those at home. There were at least two such items. So, it brought more pain for the head and legs when I was thinking of exchange even. It requires another effort to go there and, find out other replacements. Sometimes I went to exchange and, it was an additional cost. In all those times, I had to pay more for the exchanged item as always, its price was higher than the previous one. It was a miserable thing I ever had. Therefore, I did not happy about all the bought items, though they were my choices. The same thing happened to my cousins and friends as well. They also faced the same situation. Later on, I wore all the bought clothes and shoes, though I did not like them. Once I told this to one of the friends, he said that it's common for every female including his wife. Furthermore, he pointed out it as a universal issue. Lol...

Early days, I went shopping with my mother and sister. My father did not join us, though he came to drop us. He stayed in the vehicle and let us spend any time. Because he knew that it was a punishment for him. Every time my mother fed up with us by spending a few hours and, said that it was her last shopping journey with us. However, she came for next time as well. Later on, she sat on a chair in the shop and, let us select whatever we liked once she finished her shopping. However, we could go for a maximum of three to four shops once we went with my mother. Though we did not buy our desired things, she did not want to spend any single minute after exceeding that threshold. As well as she could not tolerate when we were checking the same stuff again and again. So, she noticed it as an unnecessary time we spent on the same things and, said that there's no point in checking the same stuff. We said that we wanted to make sure that we did not miss anything good for us. However, she did not accept those as excuses and asked us to leave the shop if there were no things to buy without idling.

Later on, we two went alone without my mother. We asked her to stay at home and, she also loved our suggestion. Sometimes she gave her list and asked us to bring those things for her. So, we went to any number of shops we wished and stayed there for long hours without looking at our watches even

We went to ten to twelve shops sometimes and, bought what we want. My sister was a good shopping partner, and we two have the same limits. Once it exceeded, we decided to stop shopping. However, both of us came back home like zombies and, we were tired like nothing. As the first thing, we showed the new items to my mother. After that, we two shared the bill, according to the money we spent on each other. As usual, we got various responses from our mother, and she did not like some of the things we bought. There was an era where I wore different varieties of blue color. Those days most of my clothes were a blue color. So, my mother did not like it at all and, she said that she will throw away if I bought anymore blue color clothes. She gave that warning every time when we were going outside. Our grandmother also agreed on the same by expanding it for 'Black color as well. As her eyesight was weak those days, she saw all the other dark colors like black color. Apart from that color issue, both of them asked us to return home quickly without spending unnecessary time in the shops. So, once we returned, they said that 'Oh no. Did you spend the whole day to buy these few items? What did you do for the entire day men? If I spent that time, I would buy clothes for the rest of my lifetime.

So, it was pathetic to hear their comments. After that, we did not disclose some items with them. However, we had to listen to their comments as we could not hide those when we were going outside. Then they said that 'Hey, I did not see your outfit before. When did you buy this? It's too tied, okayyy. This color is very dark and not suitable for you. Those were some comments they gave.

My father's younger brother was a good companion for us to do shopping. He supported us and, did not have a hurry to go back. He did not get tired and, visited any number of shops without a limit. One day I think we visited nearly twenty shops to buy sarees, some costumes and shoes for a wedding. As all of our selections were different, we had to go to that many shops to specially buy sarees. At that time, I could not wear saree properly. So, one sales guy in the shop helped me to wear and select. He understood that I could not wear it by myself according to the way I followed up. So, he helped me a lot. Meantime, he asked me to get ready from the early morning as I might take a couple of hours to wear the saree. On that day also, our uncle ("Bappa") was there with us and, supported all of us to select our sarees including costumes. So, when we had a family event, my father and father's elder brother sent him with us. I think it was a great relief for them as they did not want to bear up that pain when he was there with us. They did not even worry about the number of hours we spent shopping. So, our uncle spent more time when he was buying anything for himself as well. He went to all the possible shops until he found the desired thing. It applied for everything and, he visited many girls to find out his bride as well.

Because of this habit, when he was a school student, he had a nickname called 'Town guy' ('Town Banda'). My father always said that it was the most suitable nickname for him, though he called him 'Professor Calculus'. He used that name to save his contact details as well. So, when two brothers are going outside, my father never let him go to a shop as he knew his selection procedure. One day, when we were going on a trip, there was an area which was a well-known place for the fish market. At that time, my father asked him to buy some fish and meantime, asked him to come soon. We waited for nearly an hour, but he did not come back. Then my father went to find him and, at that time also he did not buy anything. He blamed and dragged him back to the vehicle.

A few days I went shopping with my cousin and my father's elder brother. It was for a family wedding. Though we had a big list to buy, our uncle ("Loku Thaththa") wanted to buy all the stuff from the first place. It needed to be done very fast too. So, he asked us to come back soon. Meanwhile, he shouted and reminded the list of other work he needs to be done within the rest of the day. However, we wanted to select our wish list somehow. Later on, we ignored him and, moved to some other areas of the shop when he was trying to contact us. It increased his anger and blamed us when returning back. Like the others, he also warned that it was his last shopping journey with us.

One day I went to an office to take some support materials for my degree certificate. At that time, they asked me to wait for a few minutes. Additionally, they said that they need their chief's approval. At that time, that lady was not there. So, I thought to go to a nearby shop during this idle time though I did not have money to buy anything at that time. I just wanted to do window shopping. So, I just checked a few clothes and, noted that the price was very high. All were very expensive. As I wanted to spend time, I just walked over the floors by visiting the items without buying anything. So, one sales guy came to me and, asked, 'Ma'm what did you look for?. At that time, I thought that they do not have party wears. So, as I did not buy anything, I said that I was looking for party wears, but it is not available. Then he said 'No ma'am it is on our next floor and, he asked me to come with him. I felt sorry for my self and, went with him. I checked a few of frocks and, he also supported me to select. They were expensive like nothing. After a few minutes, I said to him that my choice is not available and, left that shop as soon as possible

For the moment, I received much feedback from you all for my written blog posts. Thank you very much for your kind responses. It is a great pleasure for me. If you could mention your country, then it would be an amazing feeling for me to know that I have global friends. However, it is up to you, and I respect your choice.

20.0 Have Fun In Your Tough Times And Collect Memories To Remind Later.

Even it was a tough time, there were certain advantages of staying in a boarding place also. At boarding place, I learned to manage my own stuff and work alone. It was not an easy task in the beginning and, it was additional pressure for me with the studies sometimes. Maintaining the school uniform was such a big job that I had those days and, I learned to iron it well by arranging the pleats.

It was not my job when I was going to school from home. So, in the learning curve, I could not keep my school uniform neatly. Therefore, there was one friend in the boarding place to help me with this, especially when I had a special event or something in the school. She did that favoritism to me without my request. However, she used to blame everyone when she was working at that job. Lol...

As well as she used to arrange the mosquito net and, cover us once we went to sleep without the mosquito net. I heard that she was blaming us as a dream and she used to continue her talks once we got up in the morning as well. Then what I said was 'I did not ask you to do it, buddy. Then it increased her anger and, she said 'If I did not do that, then the mosquitoes will bring you to the hell men. After that you will come with more diseases and, it would annoy us more. Don't talk nonsense and do not forget to arrange the mosquito net before going to sleep. You are like a bladdy drug-addicted fellow when you feel sleepy. I do not understand you all'. Later on, it was fun for us to hear her mosquito net song in the morning.

One day she came to guide the root when I had a tuition class at a place where I did not know the way to go. Because of her kindness, she was like a mother to us. Though she blamed us several times, her union was a great pleasure for us. We had a warm feeling and felt secure when she was at the boarding place. She was a kind-hearted fellow. We had contacts with each other for a couple of years after leaving the boarding place also. Later on, we lost our contacts when moving with higher studies and jobs. I think now she is working as a nurse in a government hospital. Once I got to know that, I was happy and, I thought it is the best job for her.

The other person was the one who took responsibility for any work. She was also like an elder sister for us and, she was a crazy fellow. She could work as a boy. She had the technical knowledge and, repaired many broken electrical items in the boarding place. Therefore, she was a useful resource for aunty, though she did not care for her much. In such situations, we could recognize the auntie’s fake voice.

Some days we did not have water in the pipe when there were renovations. So, she was the one who brought water from the well. Though we also did it, she took the responsibility and supplied water for the kitchen and bathroom. The funny thing out of here was, she had to go to the toilet a few times when there was no water. So, our mother in the boarding place asked her to save water and, she pointed out as a mental issue

However, in mid of these little battles, all of us were like siblings than friends. Therefore, we exchanged our clothes with each other as well. She liked one of the skirts I had and, she wore it for tuition classes than me I think. One day she went to watch a movie with her few friends and, on that day, she wore my skirt. However, she could not go to the movie hall as she met one of our school teachers in the nearby place. Watching a movie was only allowed with certain conditions, according to the rules of our school. Therefore, she had to come back without going there, and she said that she lost that opportunity because of my skirt

Another fellow was 'Hotta' and, we gave that nickname to her as she suffered from cold in most of the days. 'Vaas' was another nice name of her and, 'Vaas' was her favorite cricketer. She loved that nickname. She gave that name to one pillow as well, and her younger sister threw away that pillow when there was a fight with them. Those days, she was the one who had problems in love affairs. One boy was following up with her for a long time and, she could not make a decision. So, she had different views on each day. Sometimes she hated him, and sometimes she wanted. Though we gave several bits of advice and pointed out our views, later on, all of us were tired to think about her problem. So, we asked her to do whatever she wishes.

There's nothing to say about the other people. They were normal.

There was a lot of laughter in the boarding house and, today I could take this topic for my blog because of those incidents. One day there was a pageant in the night and, aunty was busy with many works. A few of her friends came on that day and, aunty gave dinner for all of them. It was a fun day for all of us also. That night we had many junk foods while watching the pageant. We bought some big balloons which give sounds like 'Chili Chili. Later on, we hanged those balloons in our beds.

The biggest challenge that aunty had was to keep us in her eyesight, and she saw that a few boys were looking at us. Most of them looked at our friend's younger sister, and she was the beauty queen. Some of us received chits with contact details from a few boys. One guy looked at me and said that it's pointless to share his details with me as I had short hair. At that time, I cut my hair like a boy and, I received similar comments from boys several times

So, aunty arranged dinner for her friends on a high scale, and it was a good dinner for us also. She arranged fried rice, string hoppers and bread with some salads. Apart from these items, there were a few desserts as well. Most of the curries were non-veg. Therefore, she prepared a small portion of veg curry only for me alsoAuntie loved me more than everyone in the boarding house and, I did not know the reason. Though I broke some small rules, she did not shout at me. If the same thing happened with others, she did not excuse them and, sometimes she informed their parents also. I had zero inquiries, I think. She worried about my food pattern and, discussed it with my parents once they came.

Once my father came to the boarding place, he called me instead of aunty. But she did not care about it and, she also yelled and said 'Hey, your parents came to visit you. She did not accept it with many people. However, I asked my father not to do it again. Though my mother also advised the same, it did not work.

19.0 It Is Pathetic To Stay Away From Home. Written By A Weeping Heart.

As I wrote a few stories about the boarding house in the last post, I decided to write about my boarding house in this blog post. As there are many things to write, I decided to write two posts.

I went to another school for advanced levels and, there was about 20 km from the school to home. Those days most of the weekdays I had evening tuition classes, and my parents decided to board me in a place that is near to the school. My father's friend found out that place and, it was an ancient house called 'Walawwa.

The owner of the boarding house was an Aunty. Her husband passed away and, all of her children were out of the country except for one daughter. That is why she started boarding at her house. By then I was 17 years old. She was the strictest woman I met during that time period besides Principal madam in our school. However, we grew up well by adhering with her own and strict rules though it was a tough time. Always we had to follow up on the right thing and, there was no small space for any kind of fault.

Sometimes it was a big headache for us to adhere to her own rules in mid of the exam pressure. Though it's a big home, later on, she sold some spaces to shops and a medical dispensary. As her children lived in some other countries, they also do not need that home. Because of those reasons, she kept a reasonable space for her. However, still, it was a big house and, we could imagine how big a house it was. Those days she taught English at home and, there were a few evening classes. She did more work than her age, and she was a strong, courageous woman.

This was the first time where I lived out of the home and, my family members. On that day, my parents and sister came to drop me to the boarding place. They arranged everything for me and, spent a few hours at boarding place with me. I wanted to cry when they were leaving and, it was a terrible moment for me.

I felt like I lost them. I felt like something has stuck in my throat. Therefore, I did not talk to them much when they were leaving. When they dropped me there, my sister laughed and said that she could be the queen at home now. But my mother told me that she cried later. However, she did not show it to me and, hid her tears. We two always maintained our statuses as siblings and, we do not want to show our loving feelings for each other as most of the time, we had fights and arguments. Therefore, I was so glad, once I got to know that she cried because of me. Lol...

So, the first day in the boarding house was a messy day and, I behaved like a robot. There was only one friend and, I did not know others. I took a very little meal for dinner, though others asked me to have more. I slept very early on that day and, my friend laughed a lot by looking at my abnormal behaviors. There was no separate study room, and there were a few tables in the bedroom to do studies as well.

Therefore, all the lights switched on and, I could not sleep till they switch off the lights. So, it was a terrible day, and I wanted to go back home. There were two rooms for boarding mates. Altogether, there were five boarding mates. At that time three of us studied for advanced levels and, another schoolgirl was younger than us. The other small room used by an elder sister who did a job. After a few months, she left the boarding place and, aunty gave that room for another two schoolgirls who studied in our school. Then there was a gang with six members.

The main problem I had at the boarding place was the food. I did not have any option, though I did not like to have a given meal. So, earlier I did not eat and, had a small snack like biscuits. However, it was not a good solution as it happened in many days.

Therefore, gradually I used to have a given meal. At the boarding place, I had many foods that I have not even touched at home. I could say that I had to eat whatever aunty's servant prepared for us. Soya meat was one main curry she cooked for us most of the day. Apart from that, there was potatoes curry which was not suitable for a curry. When she prepared it for lunch, we knew that it's available for dinner as well. So, it was the most unpleasant curry we had at the boarding place. Those days, I stopped eating eggs and fish as well because of the way they have prepared and some other reasons. More information is available in the 'Eggs' post.

When I was coming to school from home, I had a heavy diet for my breakfast. So, the breakfast I had at the boarding place was not enough for me and, I was hungry within the next two to three hours. We had lunch after school. So, aunty gave the same breakfast for the school interval and, we brought rice or bread with two curries. We brought the remaining food and, most of the time it was not enough for some of us. But we did not say anything because it has fallen under the additional food category. Lol... However, it was not a big problem as we have shared food with other friends at school. Those days each of us did not eat food separately and, we ate one lunch packet at a time.

As my one was not qualified for this process, my friends put my rice and curries on top of the other's lunch packet. So, my parents sent lunch for me for a few days by a sister who was coming by a school van. It was a big lunch packet and, they did not forget to put chocolate or toffees as the dessert. My friends also would love to eat it. However, the food of our boarding place was in good condition when compared to the other boarding places. We did not suffer from stomach aches because of food. Therefore, most of them accepted that our aunty treated us well. On the other side, others respected her a lot because of her decent behaviors.

In addition to eating and drinking, the other problem was using the bathroom. Always there was a queue to go to the bathroom every morning as there were about eight people in the boarding house. We could not stay for more than ten minutes as someone was there to yell and ask to come

I took time more than the others, though I went to wash my face even. Therefore, others asked me to go to the washroom at the earliest or last. I decided to go at last and, it avoids getting up early in the morning. However, still, I could not do my job peacefully by taking the time I want, as aunty wanted to use the bathroom once all of us finished. So, most of the day I had to hear her bathroom song.

Therefore, it was a tension to use the bathroom in the morning. It was a bonus tension for me with exam pressure. Apart from that issue, we had to follow up bathroom rules given by aunty. As the main rule, she asked us not to use the commode seat. However, it was the rule that I broke up as well. I could not sit without a commode seat as it brings pain in my back. That bathroom was attached to the aunty's room. So, we had to reduce whatever sounds as much as possible when she was sleeping. However, her bathroom rules violated human rights. Lol...

Aunty did not like to lash the walls. The mosquito net was also hung on the roof. One day, the hook used to hang my mosquito net broke, and then we had to use a nail. After that, we painted that black nail and hole in the wall using white glue as wall paint also white. According to her another rule, we had to switch on a few lights when studying at night.

We switched on the light in the dining area when we were going to the bathroom as we had to go through that area. So, that area lightened as daylight for a few minutes. If aunty woke up at that time, she thought that we switched on all the lights for the whole night. Though all of us explained it, she did not believe us. Later on, we brought a torch as a solution. However, we could stay mid of all those rules as all of us lived there like siblings. Therefore, we did not care much about the unwanted rules she brought up for us.

The very first days at the boarding place were very uncomfortable for me. Eating, bathing, sleeping, studying and everything was a big mess for me. My behaviors were like an alien for a couple of weeks. It sorted out once others were friendly with me. The other problem was doing my work by myself

At home, my parents supported me. But here, I had to manage my work. It also sorted out later gradually. Those days I did not wash my clothes at boarding place and, brought them home every weekend. The clothes washed at home and, took back to boarding every Monday. It was my procedure. Some days I did not wash my school shoes because of the workload I had to manage by myself. One day a boy gave me an unpleasant look by looking at my dirty shoes when I was returning to the boarding place after evening classes. It was a big shame for me and, after that, I washed my shoes regularly. Before that, I did not much care even though a few of them advised me at school. But that boy's reaction was a shame for me.

We used aunty's land phone and, took some phone calls without her permission. That was the only unwanted thing we did and, at that time we behaved like thieves. Aunty got to know about our phone calls and, she asked us not to take calls from her phone when she was not at home. That was one main advice she gave when going out among the many bits of advice. When Auntie goes on a long journey, it's her custom to remind everyone about the rules and procedures. We loved such days as we could have meals from a nearby restaurant.

18.0 Enjoy Your Own Cup Of Tea In A Huge Cup (And Vomit, My Tea Buddies...).

There are a lot of stories about Milk Tea. I could say that those have been adding one by one to my life stories because of the favor I had for Milk Tea. Milk tea is one of my favorite beverages since childhood. However, my parents said to me that, I did not like to drink milk powder when my mother was feeding me. I vomited it. Though I was a kid, I think, I could select the most precious thing. Lol... So, I drank my mother's milk for three years. Those days, I used to drink milk tea only if it has prepared by my mother or 'Renuka.

Later on, I did not drink plain tea for a long time. I thought it as a useless beverage, which does not have any taste or nutrition. I began drinking plain tea when I was studying a three-months computer course after advanced level exams. That institute gave plain tea around 10.30 a.m. for all the students and, I also used to have plain tea with my friends. That was the start and, plain tea added to my beverage list.

However, I believe it gave additional energy and power. Especially when you sit in front of a computer for a long time. Sometimes it might apply to all professionals. As I just started my writing stuff, now also I can drink a cup of tea to energize today startup. A few hours back, I had a cup of tea and, it was the second one for today. However, drink sugarless tea if you would like to have many.

Though our country is very famous for Tea, it is not an easy thing to buy quality Tea for us and, it's price also very high. So, the majority of our people are drinking low-quality tea by exporting high-quality tea to other countries. I cannot figure out the exact reason for that situation, though I am a tea lover.

A cup of milk tea prepared by mother in the morning was the energy drink in the school days. My mother always gave me a full cup of milk tea upon my request. I used a big teacup. Actually, it was a big tea mug.

Those days, I was shy to show my tea mug to others as it was a big one. I thought that it would show my greediness to food. However, it was correct regarding milk tea. Therefore, I always made sure of the capacity of the cup I want. The main concern I had was the capacity of the mug when buying a new one. There are certain factors to consider before switching to the new teacup. However, I did not forget to compare the new one with the previous one as well. It is like a process. Though I received many teacups as gifts for the new year, acceptance has done after a thorough checkup. Therefore, every time I had an outdated, not alluring huge tea mug because of my selection criteria.

In school days, I did not like to prepare and have my cup of tea because of the quality of the taste. However, I had to work on it when my mother was not at home. In such a situation only, I prepared tea for me. This incident happened when I was studying for my advanced level exam.

My mother used to give me a milk tea flask when I was doing studies at night. She asked me to drink it once I feel sleepy. But I thought at what time I should have the first cup of tea when starting night studies. So, it was one motivation fact for me apart from one radio channel I listened to when studying.  Then time to time I checked whether the time has arrived to drink tea in the flask. Once tea finished in the bottle, then I stopped studying as well and, went to sleep. The entire energy for studies depends on that tea flask. Lol...

So, one day I had to make tea for myself when my mother was not at home. I prepared my night tea with all the skills and, put it into the flask to drink when studying. So, as usual, I started drinking my own tea on planned time after a few minutes. As usual, I filled the entire mug. But I could not drink all because of the taste and, it was not nice.

However, I did not want to throw away my effort.  Therefore, I poured back the rest of the tea into the flask and, kept for next turn. As usual, I had a few cups of tea though it was not nice because I did not want to waste the effort that I put for the preparation. That was the feeling I had to finish it, and nothing else.

As usual, after a couple of hours, I went to sleep, and I felt damn lethargic like faintish when I was going to bed. Though I thought that I could have a deep sleep, it was a dream and, I woke up as my stomach was annoying me. I could not sleep for more than three hours. I felt like somebody was walking in the stomach and, trying to come out through my mouth. Then again, I tried to sleep and, see. However, it did not work and, I frightened once I felt some salty in my mouth. I realized that was a clue of vomiting and, I did not want to bear up that torment. So, again, I went to bed to avoid vomiting and, tried to sleep.

However, it did not work at all and, I vomited three to four times till morning. I lost all the energy and, walked to the bathroom like a dummy. In the morning, my father asked 'Shall I prepare a cup of tea for you with coffee?.  At that time, I wanted to vomit again when hearing the name of 'Milk Tea. So, I asked for a coffee without milk. This was fun for my school friends once I told 'Tea and Vomit' story to them. They asked me not to prepare beverages for them once they visit our home.

My Mug...

17.0 Is It Impossible To Receive Love For True Love?

The next story happened on school days. One day we were waiting in the school bus halt and, a few young boys threw some chits to us. They were going by a van and, I think they went on a trip. They were very noisy and screamed like nothing by putting their heads out of the windows. They yelled, 'Get the chits, Sis...

I was glad, as it happened to most of us the very first time. So, we grabbed those chits and, there were a few postal addresses with telephone numbers. So, we decided to write a letter without calling them. Though there were a few addresses, we thought to write just one letter and, see their reactions. So, writing the letter was our main duty on the following day.

So, we started writing our letter. As the first thing, we introduced our gang. We wrote the way they have thrown away the chits and, conveyed our happy to get in touch with them. After that, we asked certain things about them along with the details of their trip. However, we wrote the letter nicely with soft words and, it resembles the inner thoughts of an innocent girl though we were not an innocent gang

Finally, it was a letter with a few pages. Then the next problem was the details of the address that we need to mention to get their response. Those days our parents checked the letters that received to us. So, we could not give our home addresses. Therefore, we decided to give the address of a boarding place where one of our friends stayed. After finalizing all, we posted our letter happily. After a couple of days, our friend came to us with a big envelope as we expected. We thought that there were about four to five pages at least by looking at the outside

Though there was a hurry, we had to find out a suitable place to read it safely. So, everybody came up with many suggestions and, finally, we agreed to read it in our school washroom. At that time, we identified that they have written the letter with some rubbish words. It was the best rubbish language, I think. They wrote lots of bad things that cannot even read. Apart from that, they drew some matching pictures for those horrible bad words. I think they tried to visualize it as that rubbish language was specific to them. But we all laughed and read. However, this incident could avoid us from silly things.

Finally, nobody liked to keep that letter. Therefore, we shredded and flushed it in the toilet. However, it was fun for us to recall it and, laugh for a couple of days. As we introduced each other in the letter, they also replied to us separately. It was the most crucial thing as everybody had to read those rubbish things written for themselves. Later on, we used some of that stuff to embarrass each other. However, it was a shame for us and, we never expect such a response as we wrote a polite letter to those idiots.

After that, the next incident happened because of a letter when I was helping one of my friends. Those days there was a famous newspaper for young fellows and, there was a separate page to identify new friends. There was a small description of each one along with their contact details and snap. So, one of my friends wanted to write a letter to a smart boy

He was a handsome guy as per the published photo. I wrote a letter on behalf of my friend because her handwriting was not nice much. So, I wrote what she said, and we did not forget to include some lovely quotes and songs to impress him. After that, I brought the letter as my friend had some sports practice in the afternoon. So, I kept it in the inner pocket of my bag to minimize the risk. Finally, I brought the letter home. At that time, my sister was in the room when I was keeping my bag. I followed up a safe manner to keep my bag on the table.

After that, I had a bath and, had lunch as usual. Nothing has happened, and everything went well. As usual, I had a small nap also and, then my father asked me to come for a while. Then I could understand that it got caught up and, I thought that because of my father's voice tone. It has been changed and, it was a bit lower than the other days. My thought has proved once I saw my sister there. She was sitting next to him, and she smiled happily. Though I did not afraid as it did not belong to me, I embarrassed a lot because of its contents. I hope my father read the entire letter.

However, it was a big victory for my sister. After a long time, she could inform my fault with evidence and, she thought that my good image was over. Without telling about the letter, my father asked whether they do not love me or not. That was his very first question and, I said that they are loving parents. Then he asked why did I look for the love of somebody at this age. After that, I told everything about the letter, and my father trusted me. At that time, my sister was miserable as it was not the thing that she expected.

However, that letter was thrown away because my dad asked me not to keep it. Then my father explained the fault I did kindly. Once I told everything to my friend, she said that she has done this kind of things many times successfully. But this was my first time and, it was a blast.

Later on, I fall in love with someone and, it has been just loving thoughts in my heart. However, he did not even know about this as I did not show it. But it was an honest love I ever felt.

There was a small problem in his shoulders and, others used several nicknames because of that issue. However, he was my love and, I did not worry about his shoulders. Finally, when I knew that he has a girlfriend, it was shocking news for me. At that time, I built my dreams up to marriage and, there were a few children also. I could not bear up the inner feeling I had and, it was like a burn. I did not experience it before. There were a few friends who had breakups. I listened to their worries several times and, I advised them with some solutions also. But I never think seriously. So, regularly I wrote some letters to him to reduce my pain. But I never posted, and I just kept those with me. I wrote some poems to decorate those letters.

Finally, as usual, my sister read one letter and, after that, I did not want to continue it anymore. I thought that she was the barrier to every shit. However, I was thinking about that person and, I could not avoid it though I stopped writing for him. One day, I took a photograph for the identity of my higher studies and, I could not believe my dull look. That damn sorrow showed in my face. Then I took a decision to change my mind. However, it took a reasonable time to reset my mind back to normal

16.0 Little Tips For Reading And Writing Love Letters.

As Valentine's day is near, I would like to share some of my memories regarding love letters. As I have a lot of memories of this, I thought to bring them into two parts. So, this is the first portion of love letters. My parents are the two main characters for my first memorable story. In the past, I had a habit of digging everything and, find out something.

So, when times permitted, I searched in every nook and corner of drawers, cupboards and, showcases. There was a showcase which consists of some clothes and some old stuff. Under the clothes, there was a little-secured pack and, then I took it out. When I opened it, I saw a bundle of letters, and it was a pleasure for me to find them. It was a great pleasure for me once I got to know that those are some letters. By the time I was thirteen years old.

All those letters arranged nicely. It gave me a perspiration fragrance once I opened one letter. So, I wanted to see the contents of those letters soon. I got to know that those letters written by my parents when they were lovers after reading a few of them.

As I wanted to keep this as a secret, that place was not good to read them peacefully. So, I took all the letters and put them in my room. The biggest problem I had was my sister as she can spoil this within a few minutes if she found these letters. Because it's difficult to conceal something from her. In those days, her main task was to find and, tell my mistakes to my mother. Because she did not prefer to hear appreciations given by my parents to me. She tried to crash it and, hunt down for every possible mistake. She was very jealous to see my good image. So anyway, this was a nasty thing to hide from her.

So, I had to wait for a couple of days to find out a good time to read even though I hid these letters in a secured place. I kept on thinking that how to find out a suitable time for this thing. We two studied in one room and, used to sleep with my mother. So, I did not have a chance to read these quick enough. When I was thinking and thinking I got a smart idea.

That is to keep these letters one by one in a big book that can be covered a half-sheet. Then I thought that I can read them by showing that I was reading that book. And, then my next step was to find a book which can keep these letters without showing them outside. That was my requirement and, I spent another couple of days to find out a suitable book.

Finally, I found a good book. That was the character of honorable 'Anagarika Dharmapala. It was a great book given by my grandfather when he was teaching 'English' language for me. It was written down from his birth to death. It had a dark-colored blended rosy back cover and, the gold-hued text style was there saying 'Honorable Anagarika Dharmapala. I already read this book on those days, even though I have taken this for my work. Later on, I gave that book to our temple's library.

He was a heroic character in our country 'Sri Lanka and, he served our nation well. In that era, Buddha Gaya in India has not belonged to Buddhists. They did not get the opportunity to worship. Buddha Gaya is the place where our Lord Buddha enlightened. So, 'Anagarika Dhramapalathuma put an enormous effort and, he could take Buddha Gaya back to Buddhists. Buddhists could worship that place with sacred thoughts again. I think Indians respected him more than our Sri Lankans and, you can identify that difference once you visit India.

His service for publishing Buddhism in the world also appreciable and, he sacrificed his life for Buddhism because of these situations. However, he had to do these things amid huge obstacles, even though he worked for a common goal of Sri Lankans. It is said that he did not get much support whatever he ought to have received for a common purpose. But he was a devotee to heal the hearts of many people. When he was publishing the Dhamma in other countries, there was another great person who supported him a lot and, he was 'Sir Henry Olket.

So, when I looked at these letters, my hands trembled. After that, I kept one letter inside the book to read. That was a letter written by my mother and, it was awesome. When I saw the letters that she had written, I felt a sigh of relief. It's clean so clear. It was about her stuff like the days she went to work, her friends' stories and, the days she came back home. So, without any distraction, I was able to read a lot of letters written by my parents without taking the attention of my sister. To read these letters peacefully, I went to a corner of the room by facing the door. It helped me to take suitable action when somebody was entering the room.

Therefore, I had enough time to hide my book and, read another one according to the situation. My mother nicely arranged the letters by the date she sent and, received. Therefore, her written one and, father's response was there in order. So, it was easy for their eldest daughter to read. However, both did not communicate any romantic stuff. I think they assumed this situation earlier.

The main problem I had was about my father's handwriting and, it was not clear to read. Therefore, I had to put additional effort to understand his wordings and, to see anyone coming into the room. I could read two to three letters written by my mother when trying to read one letter written by my father. I thought that how did my mother read this stuff and, that was the idea I had when I was reading my father's letters. His textual style was italic and aligned to the left-hand side. I had many letters to read and, I finished more than half of it.

So, I followed my safety mechanisms and, read that book for a couple of days. One day my sister was suspicious about this reading as she noticed that I was reading the same book for a couple of days. So, she asked that 'Do you have interesting stuff to read? I do not think so'. I blamed her and, said that she does not know the importance of anything. As her behavior was a bit suspicious, I also worked more carefully.

But one day she suddenly entered the room and, hauled the book without keeping time for me to take any action. Then a few letters and books tumbled down when I was trying to get them back, and she could pick one letter. When she grabbed that, I did not have anything to do with it. So, she wanted to read all the others. She was three years younger than me. So, I tried to convince her less maturity. She did not look back even though I tried to stop her. After that, I knew the next results once she went away with an angry mood.

After that, I was ashamed when my mother returned to the room. Then she blamed me and, asked for all the letters. As soon as it was taken, she burned it all over.

It gave me sad and guilty feelings as those were suddenly vanished because of me. Then I said that 'I read just one letter. Do not burn all'. But she was so silent and, did not listen to me. Apart from the letters, there was some stuff like greeting cards and, pictures. There was one picture of a pretty girl who holds a Rose flower. She looks like my mother, and my father has taken from a magazine.

Still, I can remember that tragic minute where all these nice things became ash within a few minutes. I had the worst feeling about this loss than the terrible feeling I had about the rest of the letters that I could not read. I think my mother informed my father about this. So, it was very guilty to look at his face. I did not talk too much with my father for several days. But my father behaved as usual.
