26.0 Trips! It's Dangerous! (Nightmare Of My Parents)

I do not remember what was the very first trip or outing, I went with my family members. However, there was an annual trip every December with my family members. Sometimes a few relatives and friends joined us.

As I can remember, I went to my first school trip when I was in grade eight, I think. Though my school arranged several trips early, my parents did not let me go. So, when all of my friends were going to many school trips, I was staying at home according to my parent's permission. I think it is one key reason for me to share a story about 'Trips' with you today.

My parents did not like to send us out for a few days without them. The same thing happened to my younger sister as well. She also went to very few school trips with her friends. Sometimes we got their permission for some trips, and it was not an easy task. Though we cried for hours, they did not change their decisions. They proved their decision as a valid one by pointing out some reason. Sometimes, they took certain real situations as examples to scare us. They had a big database with many incidents. Actually, they could retrieve the appropriate incident. Now also, their heartbeat gets changed when we were telling about a trip, I think.

In some situations, we asked some of our best friends to get permission from our parents. In such cases, they also had to listen to the same lecture. However, that was not a solution and, it did not work at all. Though we cried and fought with them, they ignored all our behaviors by keeping their decisions as it is. So, sometimes it exceeded my limits, and I also got angry with them badly. I argued with them. However, I could not go on any trip that they did not like me to go to.

So, in these situations, we went to my mother for permission. She was my first approver and, father was the final approver. Most of the time, we failed at the first approval. In such a case, we could not submit our request for final approval even. So, once we asked for permission from my mother, she questioned us.

The very first question checked whether there are any places to have a bath or not. So, by any chance, if she knew that, she did not allow me to go that trip though I did not need to have a bath even. Meantime she explained a few stories about people who died when they were having a bath in such unsecured places. Every time she had a good story. It does not matter about the climate. Even though there was a hot climate without rain at all, their decision was the same.

Sometimes they reminded the validity of accuracy every time when there were similar incidents published in the newspaper or a TV channel. They used to say that 'See, that's why we did not let you go. The next question checked the people who were going on the trip. If she understood that there was no responsible person, she did not forget to blame them by remembering their past. If we could go through these two questions, then we got her approval and, she asked us to ask my father.

So, I had to tell all about the trip to my father once he came home. He also questioned the same things that my mother asked. But it was a detailed questionnaire. He could point out more reasons which could help with the cancellation. So, when grown-up I answered his questions very carefully as I knew his points. When my father was explaining the validity of his reasons, my mother also supported him, saying that she also pointed out the same. In such situations, she never took my side. Basically, both of them tried to cancel our trips in our school days.

Those days they had another tricky way to avoid us and, it was their dreams. So, once I woke up in the morning to go on the trip, my mother said about a nightmare she saw the last night. Meantime, she explained the results of her dream and, always it was not a good one. Finally, she asked me to stay at home.

So, when I was murmuring my worries, my father also came and explained the dream he saw. At that time my mother said 'Oh my god... You also saw a nightmare? So, when both of them said that, I was also feeling a little afraid about the journey those days. However, they never revealed the dream clearly, and it was a funny drama they played in our childhood to cheat us.

One day a few friends went to my other friend's home. She was living in the beautiful countryside and, that's why they decided to go there. It was a two days journey. So, I tried a lot to go on that trip as I wanted to visit her green home town. But my parents did not like it. I think I was crying for a few hours by requesting their permission. Later on, I increased my volume to get their attention, though there were no tears in my eyes

However, they ignored by saying that their decision never changed and, asked me to cry the entire day if I wish. So, I was tired of the situation and went to bed early. On the following day, when I was getting ready to go to a tuition class, my father gave me money to buy a dress to wear. My friends also got upset and, they thought that my parents would give permission for me as I was going with them. As my parents knew most of them. After that, they did not ask me to go on trips with them. Though it made me sad, I was helpless. So, I did not ask about the journeys when they were planning trips.

Though we had annual trips with family members, there were no special memories about those trips. They were comfortable journeys without hurdles except for only one trip where we had to stay in the vehicle for a whole night as we could not find out a place to stay because of the crowd. Everything happened as per the environment we had at the home. The only difference was we lived somewhere else.

Therefore, the first memorable trip was a school trip we went to. Many of our classrooms went on the trip. So, there were many buses also. When we are going there, nobody wanted to sit in the seats. Everyone wanted to sing and dance. But everyone wanted to sleep when we were coming back. At that time only we understood that the seats were not enough for everyone.

Therefore, we could not sit at a stretch. But some of them slept well. So, most of them had to stand for a couple of hours as they could not take their seats back and, I was also among them. So, I was very tired when coming back home. However, I think most of the journeys ended up with tiredness.

This incident also happened in one of our school trips. On that day we went to the seaside and, planned to go for a boat ride and see the coral️. Though a lot of people were ready to go, they were scared. So, most of us asked one of our teachers to come with us.

She was a chubby and pretty lady. The boat was floating in the water and, it could not park like a car as you know. So, it was a difficult thing for her to get into the boat. When she was putting one leg, the boat floated to somewhere. So, every time she tried, she could not get into the boat. Everyone helped her, but her effort was pointless. So, she said that she cannot come with us, and asked us to go. But nobody wanted to leave her and, others also tried to get down from the boat. However, it made her sad as she knew that all of us were looking for that boat ride.

So, she put her final attempts. Finally, she got into the boat. I could say that the others dragged her into the boat. It made all of us laugh and, it was fun for her as well. She was one of the teachers we loved. When we were going for a few miles, one of my friends fainted as the boat was moving to different sides with sea waves. It was a different experience for the majority of us including me. It was my first boat ride in the sea and, I enjoyed it a lot though I tightly hanged the boat seat. Meantime, we took photographs, and it was an endless job for some friends. I also brought a camera and, I wanted to take photos of coral reefs.

The boat driver was a young boy, and he gave some details about coral reefs. So, he saw that everyone was trying to capture coral reefs as much as possible. There was a glass in the boat to see coral reefs. He said that we cannot take the pictures via that glass. But we took photos and, understood that there were no coral reefs when cleaning the camera reel.

Those days I did not have a digital camera and, a limited number of photos can be taken via that camera. As I was going crazy by looking at the coral reefs, I wasted half of the camera reel for coral reefs. Meantime, I wanted to take a photo of us, including the sea. As there were no selfies in those days, I gave my camera to one of my friends. Those photos also were useless. Certain portions of our bodies have captured with the sea view. There were hands, heads, and legs, including the sea among her captures. It made me angry and, a few friends also planned to take the copies of my photos. So, it was a pathetic incident for me. Once I asked her, she said that at that time, she fainted though she did not tell us. Finally, there were no photos of coral reefs and boat riding.

As this trip was an unforgettable trip, I did not forget to see their boat riding place when we were going some other journeys by passing 'Hikkaduwa. However, their service is not available since 2006 I think. As you know, the tsunami destroyed the most valuable lives and things. It was one key pathetic incident for Sri Lankans. Still, I can remember their friendly faces.

25.0 Tuition Class! A Place To Study, Have Fun & Grow Your Community

As I mentioned in the first part of the tuition class, the worst bad habit I had was getting late. There was at least a five-minute delay. So, sometimes I missed my friends as I could not find out where they have seated in the class. In such a situation, I went to whatever free space available and sat there.

One day, I could not find out my friends and, the entire whole was crowded with many students. I did not take more than one minute to find out a suitable place to sit as it made others laugh. So, I did not need to get their attention and, I sat in any free space available. On that day also I looked at the class by giving a quick look. At that time, I saw a free space and, no one was there in the entire area.

I was so happy about my finding. But once I sat there, I got to know that there was dust on the seat and desk. But I did not care much and, kept my whole books there. When I was moving my books, I saw that there was a thin dust layer in my books and, I thought to wipe them in the lunch break. However, our class teacher went out for a few minutes by asking us to resolve a question. At that time, I thought to wipe the dust using a facial tissue I had at that time. Oh my god... The entire area had filled with many deep dust layers. Some layers kept as mud, and I think this could not manage with facial tissues. As I tried to remove, the pasted dust also came out and, I sneezed continuously. Once I looked at others in the class, I saw that they were looking at me. It was fun for them.

The tuition classes located in different areas of the city. We had to go to some sub-streets which were not in the main town. So, there were no vehicles on some streets and, most of the people used those as short cuts. So, those areas were not crowded. Because of this reason, most of the couples used those streets to spend some time with their girl/boyfriend

There was such one lane and, 'Love lane' was its name. Apart from the couples, there were a few guys who had a mental illness as well. They wanted to show their naked bodies to the girls who were using that street. Some of our friends also saw these people. So they got scared and returned home without going to the classes. I also used that street to go to classes, but I did not face such an incident. One day I saw a guy who just stood in the road doing nothing. It's like he was waiting for someone. He did not carry any bag and, had a weird jobless look. He was staring at me till I passed him. I also did not care about him, but I could not forget his appearance and, the look he gave. So, once I went to the class, I told about this guy. My friends said that it was him, according to the appearance I explained. So, all of our gang wanted to use the same street to see him, though I asked them to use another route. One of our friends planned to do certain things as well if they could meet him. She wanted to bring a knife and, attack him. It made all of us laugh and, we said that he would take the knife from you and, hit you back. So, we asked her to not to give a knife to him.

Some of our tuition class teachers were strict as our school teachers. They held good discipline in their classes, and they wanted to give more apart from the subject they taught. So, they added lessons for our lives and, still, I could rewind their speeches. There was such one teacher for 'Physics and, I think he was the strictest tuition teacher I ever had.

During his session, nobody could talk and, the class should be silent like nothing. He said that if someone needs to talk, he or she can take his mike and teach. Or else he asked them to go out as a punishment. Sometimes, he asked some questions and, pointed out someone for the answer. He did all of those things to keep the attention of the lessons he taught. So, most of the students maintained their maximum discipline in his class.

One day, as usual, I could not find out my friends and, I sat in a free space available. There was a boy beside me and, I did not know him. He wore spectacles and, had a professor look. We just smiled at each other. So, our class teacher gave a maths question and asked us to resolve it. After a few minutes, I saw that guy did it quickly. So, he waited till I finished and, he asked whether I need support or not as well. Once I finished, he wanted to discuss the solution, though I did not need to listen to him. At that time, the teacher also ready to discuss the answer with the entire class.

So, now he is explaining to me the answer and, our teacher also started the same. I was so scared of the teacher's reaction. As the class was so silent except these two lectures, the teacher could hear his explanation, and he looked at us. He looked at us for another few minutes, but our professor did not care about the teacher. I think he was sick and I felt angry with him. The teacher said that he did not want to remind the ground rules again and again. As usual, he said that only the teacher can speak when the lesson is going on. But that idiot did not listen.

Then I asked him to stop his explanation and, listen to our teacher. Again, the teacher said ‘I may have to ask you two to go out if you did not stop talking. Then only that idiot stopped his lesson and, he asked 'you got my explanation, right? At that time, I wanted to kill him. One day, that teacher asked one boy to come to the front for a speech. Though it was not a punishment, we could see his shivering legs. So that was the situation and, I think that boy was a nut case. Otherwise, nobody won’t behave like this. So, as soon as he gave our lunch break, I moved to another place.

24.0 Hair & It's Maintenance

Sometimes you might think that does this woman has many stories to tell about her hair by looking at the blog topic. Actually, there are many incidents about haircuts and hairstyles I had during my lifetime. I had a boy's haircut as a teenager. Though that haircut was not a problem in my childhood, my haircut was an exceptional thing for some of them as it was short hair like a boy

Actually, it was a boy's style. I could maintain the same haircut with a little more hair. I think I could have a nice haircut if it long till shoulders at least. Why did not I think about it earlier? It is still a question for me also. Because of this exceptional haircut, I faced various embarrassing incidents as a teenager.

When I was a kid, my mother cut my hair and, we did not want to get the support of a barber. Every time, it was the same style, and I did not worry about that hairstyle as a kid. However, there was no style. But the hair I had from my forehead to the eyebrows gave a pretty look. Once it starts covering my eyes, then she wanted to cut it. Though it was her own style, no one noticed it as an exceptional case. However, my mother wanted to know whether her hairstyle was an acceptable one or not. Once we returned home from school, she wanted to know other responses for my haircut. As there was no negative feedback, she felt happy about her hidden skills. It always ensured that she had that capability.

After all, when we get a bit older, we went to a salon and cut our hair. The house we lived in those days located in a city and, there was a salon in front of our house️. We just had to cross the road. So, if we wanted to go, we went to that salon when there was no much crowd.  Every time my father advised that barber not to remove the hair in the sideburns. Because he believed that there would be unnecessary hair in our face. He reminded the same advice every time, though we went to the same salon. However, one day his scissor went through my left ear by mistakenly. I think it happened mainly because of my fault. I moved my head from time to time as I could not sit in the same position for a long time. I guess he frightened than me and, he also worried a lot. At that time, I was clueless by looking at the blood flowing through my ear, and a few drops were on my shoulders as well.

I cried once I returned home and, as usual, my mother put some medicine. It increased my pain twice. After that incident, I did not go to that salon though it's located in front of my house. I did not want to lose my ear, and I did not have a haircut for a long time as well. However, when it was growing, I had to go to another salon as my parents forced me to cut my hair. Though it was not a nice haircut, I did not go to the previous place again. However, when we were leaving that rented house, I went to that salon and, had a haircut.

Later on, we did not go to the salon and, a barber came to our home. My hair is black and strong. My sister's hair is brown and thin. My hair is like my mother's hair and, my sister's hair is like my father's hair. So, anyone could easily differentiate our hair when all were in one place after the haircut.

Even though both of us wanted to go to the salon, we had to get it done from him. So, always we two had a similar haircut and, it was not a stylish one. As per our parent's view, it was the most suitable haircut for school children. I think our school teachers also accepted it and, one day they pointed out my hair cut as a good example for a girl. That day I felt happy for my hair cut. Apart from the hairstyle he had, the place he chose to cut our hair was not suitable for ourselves. Those days I was about fourteen years old, I think. Though it was our back yard, the people who were going on the road could easily see us. So, most of our neighbors did not forget to smile and ask 'Hey are you cutting your hair? Though every time I thought 'Can't you see? I always smiled and, said 'Yeah...

When I was in the advanced level class, I also thought that it would be better to have a little long hair. I also loved to have pretty and lovely hair like my friends. My parents believed that we would be sick if we could not dry our hair properly after a bath. Because of these reasons, they asked me to grow hair as much as I love after the advanced level exam. However, I did not trouble them to get permission. There were a few friends who had short hair in our classes and, we all had short haircuts like boys. Some of my friends said that I had a haircut like an actor. So, those days I went to the salon I liked and, had a haircut as per my wish. Most of the time we went there after school with my few friends.

One day, I went to a salon with my friend and, both of us wanted to have a new haircut. So, we decided to shave the hair in the neck area. However, we asked the barber not to shave the entire area. Though some girls had this hairstyle, actually it was a boy's hairstyle.

However, our instructions were pointless and, we could see the final output once she finished her haircut only. When I was looking at the backside of the mirror, I thought it was the most foolish thing I ever did. It was really like a boy's hair and, the same thing happened to my friend as well. She was also very upset about her haircut. So, when we said that she could cut less hair in our neck area without removing all, she said that it was not possible. As per her view, there should not be hair at all to get that style. However, she did not say that before and, that was the thing which made us angry. After that, the biggest problem we had was going home and school with that haircut. We two were helpless and, both of us decided not to go to school for a couple of days.

Once I went home, I tried to hide the backside of my hair and, it was not an easy task. However, they noticed my haircut when I stayed at home for a couple of days without going to school. They did not accept it at all and, I had to listen to the same advice a few times per day. I think they reminded the same thing again and again until there was a hair in my neck area. Once I went to school also, I put my maximum effort to hide the backside of my hair. However, I could not do hide it in the tuition class. Some boys laughed at me and, my haircut was fun for them. When I was sitting in the class, they sent some paper rockets to my head. One boy said that he also wanted to have such a haircut and laughed with his friends. I asked him to cut his neck instead of his hair.

The bad habit I ever had was getting late to the tuition classes and, somehow there was a five to ten minutes delay though I tried to go early. One day the teacher of one tuition class said that I may spend more time combing my hair.

It made others laugh. As that comment came from our teacher, it was a big shame for me. At that time, combing was not essential at all and, I could manage it without a comb. So, after that, I thought to go there very early. But due to unknown reasons, it did not work. On that day, I quickly sat on a seat without going to my friend's area.

In those days some boys asked me to grow my hair. But I could not accept their request as I did not have permission from my parents. One day, when I was returning home by bus, a boy who sat beside me said that 'your nice look is pointless without a grown hair. Though it was a serious comment, it made me laugh. It happened unexpectedly and, I could not avoid my laugh at that time. So, he described it further and, pointed out how does hair adds value to a girl's look. Though I did not reply to him back, he continued his speech. It was another similar feedback I had for my hair those days and, therefore, it was not a new thing for me. Though I had such short hair, I could not have a bath in the evening. I had suffered from cold and, I also did not want to grow my hair because of that reason. On such day, when I was going to a tuition class, one boy stood near me on the bus. He was a little bit taller than me, and he said that there's a bad smell in my head. At that time, I think I applied medicated oil as well. However, I did not reply to him back and, looked at him as a devil.

As I could not go through the advanced level examination well, I had to do it for the second time also. So, at that time, I started growing my hair. When I was going somewhere, my mother combed my hair. She was the one who tied my hair using a wool band and, it was not an easy job for me as I never had grown hair before.

When I was going outside, I wanted to keep my hair neat. Therefore, I clipped many clips to manage tiny hair parts that we're playing here and there. As most of the areas had not grown much, it was not an easy task to tie a small tail even. My new look was fun for most of my friends and, they laughed for the unnecessary hair clips in my hair. They said that I would be hit first when there were thunders around us. On that day, my hair was a funny object for most of the boys in the class as well. They sent paper rockets and small stones towards my head. That's how they welcomed my new hairstyle. It was a mess and embarrassing day for me, as most of them paid attention to my small hair with lots of clips. When I was coming back home by bus, I could not keep my hair as it is as some of the boys in the class removed a few clips. So, when I was getting down from the bus, the wool band was in my hand and, only a few clips remained at the head. Once I got down, I ran home quickly without showing my weird look to others.

Later on, I changed my hairstyle as I had grown and long hair. Sometimes I relaxed it and, sometimes I cut it as layers. However, now I don't have long hair. Sometime back, I had long hair and, now it is pointless to maintain long hair as it is a bit weak now. Apart from that weakness, the main problem now I have is gray hair

Some gray hair is popping up among the black hair like antennas. I think those gray hair is smiling and say 'Hey, you are getting old my friend. So, I'm cutting those using a scissor and, I think I won't' be able to manage them using a scissor after a couple of years. One day once I went for a haircut, a young boy who cuts my hair said that some gray hair raised as antennas. So, he asked me not to cut them anymore. A lady in another salon asked me to color the gray hair.

However, that was the truth of our lives. Getting old is a regular activity in our body, and we can see the reflections in one stage of our life. How difficult to admit these changes? It depends on the maturity of our mindsets. However, still, my mind is not ready to live with gray hair. Though I think about the impermanence of everything for a few times per day as merit thoughts, according to my religion, still, it is difficult to apply to practical life

Including me, most of our friends got upset when there were a few gray hairs on our heads. So, gray hair was one topic we had at lunchtime and tea time. One of my friends said that the white light increases gray hair. Furthermore, she said that the air-conditioned environment also not good for hair. However, she could not explain the scientific side.

Finally, it was a joke for all of us. At our office, all the lights gave a white color. So, when she was sitting in her office seat, we pointed out the light in her cubicle. Apart from those things, one friend said that removing the hair roots also not good practice. So, she asked us to cut the gray hairs. My parents told me that having a bath in the evening was a cause for gray hair at a young age. So, gray hair is an ongoing and main topic among the best friend’s gang.

So, when we were having lunch at my former office, this was our main topic. One day, one of our friends said 'Oh god, what are we doing now? How do we get rid of the gray hairs? At that time, she had a miserable look. We could not stop our laugh. So, we console her saying that we could apply hair color.

However, hair coloring needs to be done very carefully. Because of the hair colors, some people affected by allergies.

23.0 The Support Of Tuition Classes For Education Journey

There are many memories of tuition classes as well. I went to my first tuition class when I was studying in grade ten. That class focused on our ordinary level examination. Those days I loved to go to classes and, it was a place to meet many friends. Some of our friends studied in different schools. But we went for the same tuition classes. Therefore, it was a pleasure for all of us. However, we had to separate again when we were doing the advanced level examination as we selected different subject streams.

Some of our friends who studied with us went to some other schools for the advanced level examination. I also went to another school. Therefore, we missed our gang in these classes. On top of those things, we had an exam pressure as it was a highly competitive exam. Though we had four subjects for the advanced level exam, we had tuition classes for the whole week when we closer to the examination.

However, I wanted to tell you that I could go to higher grades for all of my school examinations because of the education I had in the tuition classes. Our studies limited in the school because of the number of hours we studied. However, I should say that the foundation for my studies placed in the school and, I should offer my gratitude for the schools. Tuition classes always helped me to resolve the doubts I had and, improve the things I learned in school. In the tuition class, I could go through the same lessons again and, I think that was the reason for me to grasp the things in the tuition classes.

The main problem that I had was the type of dress when I was going to these classes. My parents asked me to wear the white school uniform without the tie for these tuition classes as well. So, when my friends were wearing colorful and fashionable outfits, I wore my school uniform for a couple of months. It was an odd dress for my friends and others. It made me also uncomfortable as they asked the reason for wearing the school uniform. My father always said that it is the best dress as there is no pageant to show fashions. But from time to time I told them that I also wanted to wear some other dresses as my friends did. I convinced them that it is a shame for me to wear a school uniform as no one wore it for tuition classes. Finally, they gave their permission for me to wear some other dresses for the tuition classes. It was a great relief for me and, my friends also happy about my parent's decision.

There were about a hundred to two hundred students in one tuition class and, it held in a big hall. So, finding out a space to sit was the biggest challenge we had in those days. The board was not visible when we had to sit in the last rows. Therefore, everyone tried to sit in the front and mid rows. It was not an easy task to find out a suitable place.

There was no proper procedure or management to allocate seats, and sometimes there were fights for space as well. However, I did not like this horrible job anymore. I did not want to move to crowded places and, I could not breathe well. I got this feeling at first when I was going on a crowded bus. After that, I did not want to get that experience again. You can find out more details in my bus blog post. As it was not an easy thing, we all decided to share the jobs among ourselves. One day, I went to find out the place and, my friends did the job other days. As I could not handle this, every time all of us had to sit in the back rows. Even I could not book a mid-row. Though I tried to do my maximum, I gradually dragged back when I felt uncomfortable in that crowd. After that, my other friends did that job and, I never went to find out a place. So, once they found a place to sit, I came to the class peacefully and, it made them angry sometimes. Lol...

Meantime, I went to an English class and, it was a night group class. Several friends who stayed close to my home went to this English class. This class held in one of my friends’ homes and it was a 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. class. There were six friends in the class. Once it finished, I came back home with a teacher and two other friends. As it was our first night class, all of us loved that night journey. There was a walking distance and, the boy who came with us went to his home first. As all of us were children, it was a scary walk even it's fun for us. But we really liked it. So, when that boy was going to his home, sometimes the front door has closed. At that time, he yelled his mother 'Mummmm, open the door quickly'. Those days, we loved to see that closed door as it was fun to see his scary actions. If it's closed, he asked us to wait till they open the door. Normally he said 'you all wait for me' and ran away. The rest of the distance I came with my teacher and friend. We two came like needle and thread. We held our hands tightly. So, our teacher always said that 'I think your younger sister does not behave like this.

Someday I was lazy and, did not want to go to this class after school. So, I stayed a few minutes at school and, then came home to avoid the class. I thought that I can stay at home. But it was the other way and, my mother asked me to go even though it was already started. So, it gave me many disadvantages finally. As soon as I came home, I went to the class alone as my friend already gone. So, it was a tiring day than the other days.

One day, we heard a sound like 'Sara Sara, when we were returning to the home and, I quickly turned my torch to that side without thinking twice. It was not the main road and, there were no lights on that road. I think he was a drunk man and, at that time, he was peeing there. All of a sudden, he stopped what he was doing, and he was ready to run. However, it consumed two, three blood liters of our teacher, though it made us laugh.

Later on, a retired teacher came to our home for an English class. Only me and my sister participated in this class. He was very old and had a weak look. Therefore, our parents respected him as their father. My mother did not forget to serve a homemade snack for evening tea, and he appreciated it every time.

He had only one son and, we got to know that he did not care about him much. One day he came to the class with a head bandage and, he said that he slipped in the bathroom. Later on, we got to know that it's done by his son. One day, he brought a new big bag and said that he is going on a trip with his son. He happily talked about his journey on the following day. He promised to bring something for us as well. However, he could not make it and, he said that his son arranged some other person instead of him. That was his situation and, he had to work in his later stage as well because of this problem. In point of our view, it was the most boring class we ever had. But we did not like to stop it because of these reasons. Our parents also forced us to participate in this class. Most of the day, only I was there as my sister escaped it, telling her some sort of sickness. Some days she had a headache and, some days she was suffering from stomachache. Some days she cried and said that she could not go to the class. So, somehow, I had to participate as we could not send him back.

Most of the day, he brought a bottle covered by a bag and, he said that it's his medicated bottle. He had an odd smile when he was saying that to us. Always he kept it under our table. So, we two were waiting for a good time to check this and, one day we checked it once he went to the bathroom. Oh damn... It was an arrack bottle. We could not stop our laugh

This class was a night class and, it scheduled till 7.30 p.m. Most of the time, my sister was sleeping and, first days he warned her. After that, he ignored her behavior. After the class, my father used to drop him to the bus halt as his eyesight was weak. It was difficult for him to go to the bus halt alone. When my father was not at home, I went to the bus halt with him and, it was a pleasure for him. He said that I was one of the best students, and he said it several times with my parents as well. As I brought a torch to drop him, my sister put a nickname called 'Pandama'.

So, when we were in the Advanced Level class, I went to a small group class with a few friends. In this class, we did the maths questions of past papers. Our teacher was a young boy who was elder than about two years. He was district first in the advanced level exam. He was a shy and innocent guy

Once I said that it is shy for me to go to that class, one of my friends said that 'you don't worry at all. My friend's mother gave a tea for him, and my friend had to ask to drink. Otherwise, he did not. As all of us were girls, it was not a comfortable class environment for him. Sometimes, he put the duster in his trouser pocket and, wiped the board using his handkerchief. We did not laugh much in this class as it made an uncomfortable environment. Sometimes, we managed our laughter hardly.

Though he was a bright guy, we idiots also wanted to check his knowledge, even though he was a genius for maths. Those days there was a book for pure maths. There were many difficult maths questions we could not even think. So, always that book kept on our bookshelf. It was written by a professor called 'S. L. Green. He should have good mathematical knowledge to write this book. Finally, we all decided to give a maths question from this book. On the next day, I wrote down it in my book and gave it to him. He took more time than the other days to resolve the question and, we thought that our mission succeeded. He gave up all the things he planned to teach and, was thinking nearly for an hour. He bit his nails, and it was a stressful situation for him. After a while, he asked me where did I find out this question. I told him that it's given in our tuition class. He tried to resolve it many times by removing and writing on the board. Finally, he resolved it, and we noted down. Once I came home, I checked the answer in the 'Green's book, and it was correct.

However, the entire life covered up with tuition classes when we were close to the advanced level exam. One of my friends always said that one day I would die in a tuition class. Those days it was a sad story of our lives. These classes were a bit far away from our homes.  So, my mother also came with me. She talked to the tuition teacher and, introduced me. It's like the first day at school and, it was a shame for me. No one's parents came to the tuition classes and, this happened only for me. So, I asked my mother to stay saying that I'm not a kid anymore. However, she did not listen, and my father also agreed with her.
