13.0 Bus Memories. Breath Well & Travel By Bus With Crazy Nuts.

It was a good experience for us to traveling by bus on school days. We used to share our thoughts, stories and day to day experiences with each other during this journey. Most of the times we had many reasons to laugh for small things. We noticed some boys who were on the bus halts and gave nicknames to them even though they did not know anything. One boy's nickname was 'Rose' and, we gave that name because of his girly look. We enjoyed the environment as well. The green mountains, sunset, and small waterfalls made a good environment for our bus journey.

As the next, I thought to write some stories about Buses. There are many to write as the bus was my main traveling method. If there are many, I thought to write this as two stories. It depends on the number of stories and, I think all will be remembered when I’m writing.

This incident happened when I was a little one and when traveling somewhere with my mother. If I tell the truth to you, it was an embarrassing moment for others. But it was a good thing I did, even it made an uncomfortable environment for others. On that day we got on to a bus and, that bus parked on the bus stand. Once we got on to the bus, there were a few people. Among them, there were two young fellows next to our seat. So, after a while, they started to drink cigarettes. There were some others as well. Government buses put a notice stating that ‘Smoking is not allowed’ and, I saw this notice written in big red letters. When I saw this, I could not figure out why they were smoking on the bus. So, I asked my mother, “Why do they smoke cigarettes, when it is prohibited to do on the bus?”. You know that volume is not small even I was a small one

So, everyone could hear me including those two young men as well. I think my mother was the one who embarrassed a lot among all of them. Therefore, my mother tried to shut my mouth and, said something. As her response was not enough for me, I kept on asking the same thing again and again. So, those two could not continue their job anymore and, they threw their cigarettes away. After that, they got down from the bus. Or else they went to find out a peaceful place to smoke cigarettes. However, it was kind of a bravery story to my mother and, she used to tell everyone for a couple of days

Those days, the bus was not a regular transport method and I had to go by bus very rarely. We lived near our school and, that was the main reason. When I was going by bus, I saw some school children were going by bus, by eating some junk food and peanuts

So, I also had a dream to go to school by bus like them. Later on, it was not a dream anymore and, I could go by bus when I was in grade seven. But I could not enjoy junk food with my friends as there was a small distance from our home to school. There were two kilometers and, it took about a few minutes. As well as it was not a nice thing as I thought. So, this happened when I was coming back home from school. There was a bus on our school bus halt and, I got onto the bus. After a few minutes, a crowd got onto the bus and, then it was full of some weird students.

Though there were many on the bus, it stopped for another few minutes to load some more. However, that is the normal situation here and, the conditions of our public transport is not good today as well. If you are not Asian, you will not get this experience. It’s a terrible experience and, most of the bus drivers and conductors tried to load as much as possible to earn more without thinking about people. As well as it’s a normal condition of our people as well, they also get into the crowded buses.

So, within a few minutes, there were many more on the bus and, no one could move a bit even. Then I could not breathe and, I felt that my heart was getting locked. I thought that I would die. It scared me a lot and, I wanted to get down immediately. But, how? I could not move and, I wanted to scream and cry.

So, after a few bus halts, there was a town and that bus parked there for another few more minutes to load some people. At that time a few of them got down and, I also got down from the bus even though it's not my destination. It was a big relief for me and then only I could breathe comfortably. There were no more death signals. Those days, that place we lived in and school were new for me. But it was not a big issue, as one of my friends also got down from the bus as she saw this incident.

After that, I used to go by buses which do not have much crowd. I did not want to sit. But I wanted to be in a comfortable way. So, I waited for a suitable bus even though it took a reasonable time and, sometimes this habit made delays in my journeys. As well as it took a reasonable time to go to school even though there was a small distance from home to school. My practice did not change in any urgent situation. Those days I thought that I could not get down from the place that I wanted by going by crowded buses. Still, I have this habit and don’t like to go by crowded buses even though I had to go for an urgent thing.

So, it took some time to reduce my fear and used to go by bus. Later on, it was an enjoyable thing with the union of friends. In those days, we went to the tuition classes on Saturdays and Sundays. Most of the students used to bring books without a bag and, they kept it in their hands as there were a few books. So, I also wanted to follow up their way and, I also did not use my bag when I was going for tuition classes. But my parents did not like it as they felt that I would fall down on the bus

One day I fell down on the bus. The books I kept in my hand were in every nook and corner of the busOthers helped me to find out those and, it embarrassed me a lot. There were few wounds in my legs and hands. After that, I obeyed my parents and brought all the stuff using a bag. One of the planes that had a name like 'Antonov' fell down those days and, my friends used this as an example to explain the way I fell down on the bus. It was a fun topic for them for a couple of days.

12.0 It's All About Painful Thoughts - Pet Fish .

To become a proud owner of a fish tank with various and colorful fish was one of my dreams. I had to face for memorable incidents to maintain my hobby. However, I lost my interest also due to some of the incidents.

As a hobby, I wanted to maintain a fish tank in my childhood. I thought that it was necessary to bring a fish tank, but my parents did not like it. They said that it’s not an easy task as it takes an additional effort to clean and, need to keep away from our cats. But I said that I wanted some small fish called ‘Guppy’ to be placed even in a small pot. But they did not agree to bring a fish tank and, they were in the same beliefs.

But somehow, I thought to bring some colorful fish to keep in a fish tank and be the owner of a fish tank. It was a dream for me. That’s why I told my idea to school friends. Then one of my friends said that she could bring some from her fish tank and, she said that she has some colorful fish. I was very happy. So, once I came home, I searched for a suitable jar to keep my pets and, I could find out a small pot. Though there were some big pots, I could not take them as my mother was using them for cooking. She planted some flowers in old pots.
So, that friend lived near our school. One day she agreed with me to bring them after school and, I waited for her. After a few minutes, she came with my dream and, I was so cheerful as I have been waiting for this moment for a long time ago

So, after that, I had to spend some more time to find out a bus with less crowd to bring my pets home safely. Anyhow, my dream fulfilled. I could bring them home safely and, as the first thing, I put them into the pot carefully. My friend gave some hydrilla plants with fish and, because of her kind donation, now my fish pot looks more colorful. It consists of different colors like red, orange, yellow, blue and greenBut there were few drawbacks. One thing was, the fish are in a pot, not in a tank. We could not see them from outside as that pot was not transparent as glass. The way of using their small, colorful tails to swim could not see via this pot. As well as I thought they are not comfortable with my accommodation. But there was no clue for a fish tank as others did not like this job.

However, I was happy that my idea has gone well. My main task was to look at my pets as soon as I got up early morning, returned home from school, and before going to bed

My friend also regularly asked about the status of my pets. She was the one who taught me to feed them and, I followed up her instructions accurately. But one day I saw some of the dead bodies of fish ‘Sari Gappi’ and, they were floating on the water. It shocked me and, it was an unexpected situation for me. So, I could not imagine that the mistake I have done for their deaths. Sometimes it could be a problem in the pot. Then I told this problem to my friend and, she asked me to put some cubes of salt into the fish tank. But after a few days, I saw a few more have died and floated in the water. As I could not throw them away, I dug a small hole in the yard and kept them.

So, after that, I kept on asking for a new fish tank and, I told that I wanted to keep others alive. I could remember that I troubled a lot for my parents. Then my father brought a small fish tank. After that, I prepared that tank by keeping the tank in salt water for a day to avoid any more deaths. Now, that problem was over and, I felt that my pets are happy now.  As there were a few more left, I talked to my friend and asked whether she can give new fish for my new tank. She liked to give some fish without any hesitation and, she also worried about the loss of my innocent pets. As well as she said that the same pathetic incident won’t happen as now, they are in a suitable place to live. So, this time my friend asked me to come to her home to bring the fish. I agreed with her, but I did not tell my parents. I knew their decision and planned to go there without their permission

On that day I went with her after school. We ran from the very beginning as my parents used to find me if I got late. We ran with our maximum effort. I thought that I could run if I did not have a big bag and a bottle. But I had to run with all those stuff. After a few miles, I fell down by hitting something in the road.

There were few wounds in both my arms and legs as I fell down on a Tar road. It was the main road. There were some wounds in my legs and arms and, all were very painful. That weird and horrible look could make two of us mad. I did not cry because of too much fear and, my friend was so silent at that time. There was a house near that place and, an aunt and a small girl saw this incident. At the same time, that aunt tried to put some medicine into my wounds by looking at wounded legs and arms. My school uniform also got damaged. But I was afraid to put medicine as my parents were not there. And I knew how hard to bear up the pain of medicine. So, that aunt gave some cotton and, I kept on the wounds. It helped me to reduce the pain a bit at that moment and hide the blood. My friend was so scared and, she said that she could drop me on a bus. So, she waited with me for a bus. Meanwhile, we saw that my friend’s mother was coming to us as she was late.

Even we ran to reduce the delay as much as possible, now almost one hour was over. My main concern was how to answer the questions once I returned home and, it was more painful than my wounds. I knew that I may have to answer lots of questions. I was thinking about all those and reached home.

Once I went home, my mother afraid a lot and my father was not at home at that time. I said that I fell down on the school ground when I was playing with some friends. Then it was the time to do the scariest task and, my mother was ready to put some medicine for my wounds. The cotton has stuck to the wounds with blood and, it was not an easy task to remove back. That was the worst wound that I have ever faced. Who knows these things before?. I could not bear up the pain once my mother was cleaning my wounds. It hurt me a lot and, it was painful like nothing. At that time I experienced the most painful moment as a child. As I have screamed a lot, one of the grannies in our neighborhood came to see what was happening in our home. I saw tears in her eyes too by looking at me. When my mother was putting medicine to my wounds, it made me crazy and, I screamed a lot. She told me that she would like to put more medicine than this stuff if I come across similar situations in the future. Later on, she cleaned my wounds when I was bathing and blamed me by reminding the silly things I did. So, I was like a beggar who has covered legs and arms with wounds. There were tears in my eyes for a few days because of the pain in both of my body and heart.

Everyone asked what happened to me and for everyone, I said that I fell down on the ground. A few days later, my sister asked, 'You are lying. Right... She said that one of her friends told her that one girl fell down in front of their house and, that girl had a water bottle like a drum

Additionally, she said that her mother gave cotton for wounds. So, the water bottle was the suspicious thing for my sister and, that’s why she knew that I was lying. So, I got to know that the small girl was a friend of our satellite sister. However, I kept on telling that I fell down on the ground and, asked her to stop saying nonsense. But she did not accept and used to ask the same thing again and again for a couple of days.

After that, I lost my interest in my hobby. Even though my friend asked to bring some fish, I told that I don’t want them now and postponed. After a few days, the few fish left behind also died. Therefore, I didn’t want them anymore as it brought some painful memories via dead fish and my wounds

Time went fast and, again I thought to bring some fish to my fish tank. This time no one rejected my idea and, at that time they knew that I could take responsibility. So, this time I bought a big fish tank and colorful fish from another place. That place was selling fish for money. I got to know about this place from my friend and, it was the place where she also used to buy fish. So, those days it was my pleasure and hobby to see the way of swimming colorful fish in my tank. I enjoyed their behavior a lot. I used to clean the fish tank and therefore, it does not make trouble for others. Anyway, I also did not let others clean the tank after I lost a few small fish once my father cleaned the tank. Mistakenly, some of them had gone once he threw away the water from the tank. Step by step I added some gadgets like water motor, swimmers and some plastic stuff with colorful stones to make my tank more beautiful. So, it was fun for me to decorate the fish tank.

One day we bought a fish called ‘Catfish’ once we four went out of the home. It was a kind of fish who was changing the size of the body, according to the nature of the environment. His pet name was ‘Cattah'.

As an example, if they lived in a big tank or a pool, they would be big buddies more than a normal one. So, the color of this fish was dark ash and, there was a silver line in his stomach area. I think it added some value to his beauty. Even though we were about forty kilometers far away, I brought him home very carefully. My father asked whether I can bring him carefully because of this distance. I thought to bring him once I got the opportunity and, I did not like to miss it. So, I said yes and brought my new pet carefully even though it was a hard task with the support of my sister. Their behavior was mischievous when they got scared. So, he scared a few times and, we also got scared all the time with him. Once he came, he was our new pet and, he brightened the tank. He looked like a ship in the sea and was the biggest fish in our tank. Later on, he used to jump out of the tank and, that was the main problem we had with him. It was not an easy task to catch him back. Once he jumped out from the tank, only me or father could place him back. My sister or mother was not able to do that as they scared to touch his slimy body. So, I bought a new roof for my fish tank and put some weight on top of the roof to protect my pet.

The biggest challenge was to take him out when cleaning the tank. As a best practice, we kept our cat in a locked room before taking 'Cattah' from the fish tank. However, I needed someone else supports to take him out and put him back. So, after a couple of years, he became a big buddy and, our tank was not enough for him. Therefore, I had to think about another good place for his accommodation. So, we brought him to our father’s younger brother’s house and kept him in their pond as it was a big one where our pet could live comfortably. As well, I did not want to worry about his safety as it was our relatives' place and, I could see him anytime I want. Even though it made me a bit sad, I had to do that for the sake of his happiness. He lived for about ten years. So, after that, again, my interest went out and, I did not want to keep fish as my pets. Therefore, I brought the rest of the fish to the same pond and pulled out my fish tank.

Maybe you remember the image of salmon tin and, it was a fish. I always remembered my ‘Cattah, once I saw this image. So, this happened when I was eating salmon as well

Then I stopped eating salmon. However, at that time I stopped eating meat and was half-vegetarian.

11.0 Progress Reports Of Einstein's Second Birth.

I received my first progress report in the last semester in grade one. It made me happy due to the appreciation of my father even though the results were not good. He encouraged me to do my next studies and, I did well as he thought. Always he was there with me for every success and failure chapter in my life. Even though the story is a funny one, this could bring tears to me when recalling these memories. My mother was proud of me in my successful events and was very silent in my failures. But my father encouraged me in failures by keeping his smile as usual. I love both of you.

There's a loving memory about a school progress report, which received the very first time when I was studying at grade one. When I was in the primary grades, my behavior was not good. It's not acceptable at all. Most of the time, I tried to stay on the outside. I think it happened because I did not have a yard to play at home at that time.

There was a rubber estate near the school ground and, I always thought there was something mysterious. Therefore, I always tried to find out a time and, go there with my few friends to do our own investigations. One day there was a woman who was working on that rubber estate and, she asked all of us to go by shouting us. But we never give up our job and continued the same routine as it is.

The other main bad habit was staying at school for a few hours to play with my friends without going home. So, the person who came to pick me had to find me all around the school and, it was not an easy task for them. They reported it to our class teacher once they could not find out me. Even though all have advised me from time to time, I did not listen to them. So, this was a problem for my parents and the class teacher.

One day there was a street drama on the road and, there was a huge crowd. I thought to tell this drama as the excuse for my delay. So, on that day I stayed at school for a long time more than the other days. The one who came to take me that day was unable to imagine where I was and, she went back home. At last, my mother came to take me. Still, I can remember the way she came to school with my sister and, at that time I was watching that street drama from school. So, I got punishments that day once I came back home.

In the school interval, we created our own short dramas and acted with friends. A few of my friends acted in these dramas and, I selected them as per my wish. I selected my close friends only though there was another set of colleagues who liked to join us for the drama. This was painful for some of them due to the rude way I followed for this selection

Even though there were no major incidents apart from these things, my discipline was not good at all especially when I was in grade one as I told you earlier. I used to stand on top of the desks and walk. It was my main hobby. As well, I addressed my classmates using nicknames and, it was not a good experience for some of them. So, for such things, a lot of my classmates have made complaints to our class teacher about me. The parents of those mates warned me. When my mother came to school for gatherings or any other thing, she had to listen to these things and, some of them made complaints. They asked my mother to punish me.

Finally, at the end of the semester in grade one, our class teacher gave our report cards and, I felt so happy even I didn’t have an idea about this book which has a few pages. I went to the home with this report and, I saw there were a few letters like ‘A, B and C’ for each subject. As I did not know the significance of these letters, I took this directly to my father. My father read my report and, there was a smile on his face as usual. Then he complimented me. I felt so glad for his compliments. Meantime, my father asked me to behave well in the classroom. As well as he asked me to study well in next year than this year. That's all about it. So, I was so happy as this small book could gain my father’s compliments. Later on, I understood actual results and, our teacher gave me ‘C’ for my discipline. It was the worst grade according to the evaluation scale. I was ashamed of myself at that time.

Later on, I thought how intelligent my father was as that compliment gave me energy, motivation, and self-confidence to go to my next steps. If he gave me bad comments, sometimes it would discourage and disappoint me.

I think that should be the way. Most of the parents' behavior, cannot be accepted at all once their children could not go through the exams. Grade five exam is the best example of this situation. Sometimes some children fell down mentally without keeping any space to recover. No one can help after their deathSome small children suicided because of this depression and, then the whole story is over. Why? Because of the pressure they had from their parents to win the competition and pass the exam. Most of them could not bear up that depression as at that time they are about ten years old kids.

Basically, it’s not matching with their age. I cannot imagine the base of this exam when the pass mark is more than eighty for each subject. The other thing I think is these pressurized children are more selfish than the others when they became adults. I think it happened because of the competition they had to face in their kids' age. So, when they go to the society, they do not have a habit of helping others and, everything is a competition for them. They always tried to keep a few steps ahead than the others and, they never think about other’s wellness. However, this is my personal view and, sometimes you won’t agree with me.

The newcomers who came to work at the former office was a good example. From the very beginning itself, there was a competition among them and, no one would like to help with each other when necessary. What they wanted was, to climb up the ladder of the carrier by putting down the others. If we ask them to give a knowledge transfer or session, it was the worst thing for them and, one guy told me that he does not like to do that. All they are colleagues from their universities and used to have lunch and tea as friends. But that was the situation and, did not like to help even for a friend when there’s a need. I think that’s why that company directors used to give certifications as a compliment to employees who helped their colleagues. It was a good effort they have taken. I think, later on, our society will consist of such robotic people who cannot understand the pain of even loved ones.

So, if we go back to my story, I received my best progress report when I was in grade three. At that time, I could get the best grade for all the subjects I worked on. As I knew how to read the report, I directly went and told my results to parents. My parents were very happy for me and, it was an unmemorable moment for us. As gifts, I received a table, chair and table lamp to do my studies. Still, I’m using that table, even I have a different chair now.

After that, I received my next memorable report in grade eight. At that time, I was in the first four ranks in the class where there were about forty-five students. I didn’t go beyond the fourth rank in every semester exam. But in one semester I was twenty-second and felt like lost. It was a big shame to tell my parents as well. My parents got really upset even though it's not a surprise for me. My friends also asked what happened to me. One of our teachers said that there is no possibility to convert sweet into bitter things. She made that statement by thinking that I have changed because of the new companions I found in grade eight. But actually, it was not the problem and, I know how many novels I read the entire day without focusing on studies. However, some of my classmates who were always in thirty to forty rank were good buddies for me now as I was in their same boat.

One day my father asked me to meet him and, I could imagine his topic before going there. As I knew it, I went to him like a cat. I think no one heard my footsteps.

My father was sitting in the living room and, asked me to go near to the calendar. Even I knew the topic, at that time I could not think of his next steps. Then he asked, 'What was the rank of the previous year?. Then I said ‘Four. He asked, 'What is the rank of this year?. It was a big shame for me and, I murmured ‘Twenty-Two. Then he asked me to count the gap. It was a really messy and shame moment. I thought not to do this kind of bullshits again. I promised to myself. After that, my father did not say anything and, he asked me to keep that gap in mind.

In those days I knew that how I was carelessly missed my studies to read novels and, it was an addictive hobby. Regularly I went to the library and, stayed there for a couple of hours. Apart from that, I brought one more book to read at home as well. One of my friends also got punishments when she was reading a book in the music period. We let others practice the song and, we read books. She was sitting in the front row and, music teacher hit her by throwing that book away. I heard that sound only and, till then I read my novel book. Then I hid my book and, concentrated on the music lesson.

I think I received the worst progress report in grade eight. Later on, I did not spoil my studies and carried out considerably.
